I was up at the top of the Three Fields at 7.10 with Rosie! She refused to go out for a walk last night (?some high pressure/thunder rumbling around?) so we did a brisk walk this morning while it was sunny but still cool. Very nice, too. All went well until Rose heard the reversing beeps on the distant bin lorry, at which point she panicked and went kangaroo-hopping through the long grass so that I could only see her ears! Fortunately she still came back to me when I called her, but I had to put her back on the lead and she dragged me most of the way home.
I went off early to Action Heart so that I could get back before 1.00 when J came to mow the lawn and tidy up the borders. Once he's finished his 2 hours, I can have a siesta!

Oh, rushes in to hug ASB how lovely to have you back. And Pigpen well done, it looks like a good time was had at the beach.
We have had a nice long weekend away and I am now catching up at the paid stuff. Yesterday was a long day but I cycled in so pleased with that. Have managed to get on top of the laundry, run the hoover around and buy groceries.
My brother is coming up at the weekend so DS wants us to have a BBQ on Friday night, which is a nice idea but could be a lot of hard work. I will decide tomorrow.
Tired now.9 -
WUALTD, tidied kitchen, brought washing in, waste and recycling bins emptied - (recycling bin is the bin from my old shredder) and blue bin put out for bin men. i also have a bag of shredding to go out. long chat with lady over the road and up a bit who has lived here longer than me. Got the story of her hubbys death - he died in the back doorway just around the time i had my op so i had missed it all. And various medical discussions - she too had breast cancer.
Onerous section of cardigan band knitted… buttonholes in, rows carefully counted. I can just keep going now.Three toots list items dealt with including booking someone to measure up for roller blind. Been to matalan (50% sale) bought a dress but too hot to try it on in store so hope it fits or i can exchange it. also bought a zip up hoodie. was going to get a yellow one but greenfly…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

OH gone off to the pub with my mother for the second night in a row.. I have a headache and very loud intrusive thoughts which are trying to instigate violence.. they are very naughty!
Girls are staying home tomorrow.. neither OH nor I are up for getting up at 7:30. Squeak is staying home until Monday but Twinkle has a trip on Friday so the 3 younger ones can go in to school then, one more day won't hurt. We are planning to go to the park and feed ducks and run about in the playground and eat ice cream while everyone else is at school..
I got a huge blue dragonfly in my chips.. free protein but I despise dragonflies.. hateful beasts.

Morning all,
Thank you for the lovely welcome back. I really have missed you all.
I have already fed the animals here - due to our altitude it is light by 3.30am at the moment! So the puppy and I are in the kitchen. I have a pan of eggs on the boil which will form part of the pigs dinner, and I have emptied the DW.
It has been a really full on few months. I am now working almost FT (32 hours) just to keep our heads above water, and that is with being extra extra frugal as usual. But animals cost money, and so does all the stuff that accompanies them! I also have some dry stone wall repairs that are urgently needed.
In some sad news, DD had a bad accident whilst I was away from you guys. She has lost the use of her right hand, and we are currently attending weekly physio sessions to try and get it back. If not, she will need further surgery. I won't go into all of the detail but needless to say it's tough. She starts high school in September so I am trying to navigate making them aware of all of this and the needs she will have. Seeing my beautiful girl not be able to do her beloved drawing, colouring, piano playing - well it's heartbreaking. She is attempting everything with her left hand but it's so frustrating for her. That, coupled with a large glut of hormones, makes for a rollercoaster some days!!
DS is fine, cheeky as ever, looking forward to Year 5 in September. Sheep/lambs/pigs/alpacas/ducks/hens - all good.
I will slowly catch up with you all. I won't post every day, I acknowledge that now, but I am so happy to be back. Lots of love xxx10 -
morning all
hope the school are listening ASB. hope they’re looking into assistive technology for her - voice activated tech etc. but i hope the physio etc has an effect.
ironing done
I’m taking mum singing today. Apparently there are actions. Intelligent as I am this is something i struggle with because, I assume, I’m cross lateral. I can’t even keep up with YMCA. It’s for people with dementia, even though mum hasn’t had a diagnosis.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

ASB.. I am really sorry to hear about DD, give her a squish from us. If the condition is likely to last 6 months or more apply for DLA.. the worst they can say is no. A bit of extra money is sure to help her. If it a long term disability you can apply for an EHCP which will help support her needs in school with assistive tech, help with writing/physical needs, they can also put in place emotional support for her. Make an appointment with the transition head and SENCO so they are fully aware, take any medical reports you have. Maybe she needs uniform adjustments to enable her to dress herself or help with food/eating or emotional needs etc. Also making them aware of upcoming appointments and possibly physio being done in school with her therapist could be an option, 2 of mine had physio in school. If you get stuck try IPSEA they are wonderful advisory and support service around additional needs and were a huge help with DS2's dyslexia. I really hope the physio is successful in healing her and recovering the range of movement, it must be incredibly difficult for you all ((hugs))
We just got a sympathy card from OH's stepmother and brother.. weird.. but kind of them. I asked if he wanted to go see his dad on Sunday and he said no.. I cannot do more than offer.. The girls have dance show the next 2 weeks so we can't go then so will be summer holidays and TBH I don't think he will drive all that way to see his dad.. right now if he ever sees his sister again it is too soon.. and I don't know what to say or do to maintain the relationship with his dad.. he is 73, he had a heart attack earlier this year.. you never know when your number is up. They are both so apathetic about life in general I can't see either making the effort so by losing his mother he has also lost his entire family. Can I fix this or should I even try? It is the girls family too.. I just don't know.
Anyway.. I have violent intrusive thoughts.. making me want to punch a couple of people.. so I am trying to keep the brain distracted.
I shall go find clothes, feed and dress the geeks and we are taking them to the park for a tear about.
Product transfer documents returned to the mortgage peoples..
OH out posting his fathers days card
DW needs emptying and reloading.
I have furry puddles all over the place.. lol
I need to tidy the front room a bit, it looks like a skip.
