You were expecting that weren't you?

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence might be worth another read.

Should they have contacted the court within 28 days from the date of the court letter I received on 28th June to proceed?

    Maybe they did.
There are terrible delays at the CNBC - over two months being reported.

Just complete the form you have been sent and return it - remembering to send a copy to the Claimant.

No, it takes time and the delay is with the CCBC.  They are in a mess. Two months is normal for a DQ right now.

The Template Defence thread first post includes this in the first post and the NEWBIES thread 2nd post tells everyone how to answer each question on the DQ, including the new one.

Hi, just an update, yes it's been 11 months but I had a mediator call me today although I put no mediation on the DQ. They still wanted full payment but spread over 12 months. I declined so it looks like we're going to court unless they don't pay the £27 fee by 20th August.
