            Then they really need to get someone better on their communications. They made a mistake in the last one they sent about ending further additions to the account from October.2

I agree. They could also do with sorting out their technical systems and employing a spell checker whilst they're at it. I asked them to change my nominated account and it took them nearly 2 months to change it due to "technical difficulties". In a series of messages I exchanged with them trying to get the nominated account changed there was spelling errors in almost every one of the messages they sent.happybagger said:Then they really need to get someone better on their communications. Hanley have now sent out apology email confirming correct rate of 5.25%.0

            I'm not getting these email notifications despite opting in to marketing and supplying them with my email address, as confirmed in my account settings. Am I missing something ?0

'5.25%from 1ss September 2023'. Wow - first they tell us they'll not allow deposits from October, then they misinform us about the interest rate rise, then they send an apology email with 2 typos. It all seems a little disappointing really.10_66 said:refluxer said:I'm not getting these email notifications despite opting in to marketing and supplying them with my email address, as confirmed in my account settings. Yes, it appears online banking is down at the moment and it's Branch Saver interest payment day, too !qbadger said:Is anyone else having trouble logging in to their Hanley online account?
"502 Bad Gateway"
It was fine when I logged in this morning - interest hadn't been added though, so I was thinking that would probably show up by tomorrow.0 -
            Has anyone successfully paid in with faster payments? I'm getting an account and name mismatch. My understanding is the sort code is 309383, and the account number and reference are both the number of my Hanley branch saver account. I've tried naming it as mine, as HEBS, and as Hanley Economic Building Society. All rejected.
I can't go into online banking at hanley to check as it's down currently!0 -

Yes, I've paid into my Branch Saver using BACs. I'm not sure where you got that paying-in info from but none of it is right, unfortunately !gwapenut said:Has anyone successfully paid in with faster payments? You need to use the Hanley's sort code and account number, with your own account number as the reference. (IIRC, I used my own name*, not the Hanley BS or Lloyds)
* edit - that's wrong. I just checked and I did actually use 'Hanley Economic Building Society' as the payee name.

Electronic Payments into your account:
7.7 If money is to be paid into your account by Electronic Payment, you or the payer sending the payment to you, will need to provide the unique identifier. This includes the following information, for the following types of payment:- for BACS, Faster Payments and Standing Orders: Lloyds Plc, Sort Code: 30-01-20; Account Number: 09995102;

- for CHAPS payments: Lloyds Plc, Sort Code: 30-93-83; Account Number: 00005102; and

- for all types of Electronic Payment, your Reference: this is your 7 or 8 digit Hanley Economic Building Society account number. You must quote this as a reference to ensure the payment reaches the account.

            Also - just be aware that payments in usually show up the next working day and can even take up to 2 working days if made in the evening, in my experience.1
