Chase Banking App, terrible?

I find its just as fast if not faster than my HSBC app which every time I try to log on says I have been logged out so I have to log in twice.
Love the fact that as soon as you open the app the face recognition works rather than having to tap another log in button and prefer that it logs you out as soon as you close rather than having to click a log off button
I did prefer it before they split it to two screens but only a minor annoyanceTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
I think the Chase app is fine and don't have any speed issues, though I did prefer it when the current account and savings balances were both shown on the same part of the main page. My only real gripe is somewhat self-inflicted: having 60+ accounts to feed or bounce funds around from Chase, but all standing orders (once set up) / previously paid SOs just have my name rather than sort code & account number with no way of checking transaction details.1

Only works though if the transaction does not require an actual reference number in that field 🤣0 -

So instead of:> John Smith
> > Halifax Regular Saver
> > > John Smith
> > > Sort Code
> > > Account Number
> > Lloyds Monthly Saver
> > > John Smith
> > > Sort Code
> > > Account Number
You can have:
> JS Halifax Regular Saver
> > Halifax Regular Saver
> > > John Smith
> > > Sort Code
> > > Account Number
> JS Lloyds Monthly Saver
> > Lloyds Monthly Saver
> > > John Smith
> > > Sort Code
> > > Account Number
Then it becomes much easier to identify payments as you won’t just see your name everywhere as the payee.4 -

You can give each payee a "friendly" name but it doesn't show that name in the list of payees so you only see it when you choose one. I have a dozen or so payees which, in the list, are all my name but with a different sort and account no so you either have to learn the sort codes or just select each one in turn to see the nickname. I'm getting better at learning the sort codes!1 -

The app is consistently letting them down. Often for hours at a time when I enter the app the circle loading appears and it's unable to update the balance etc, it's frustrating when having to confirm every payment you're making with your card through the app, it takes you to the app to confirm and then it can't load and just times out.. I've had 2 parking tickets because I've had to confirm the payment through the app and having confirmed it it hasn't wen through because of the app issues.
I'm going to get in touch with them and complain, has anyone had similar experiences?0 -

I do wonder if many people actually use Chase as a main bank account though, or if most people use it as I do, almost like a pre-paid card. I just pay in £500 a month to meet the cashback criteria, then use the card for my spending to generate the cashback. If I spend more than £500 in a month I'll top the account up from my main bank to continue earning cashback (until hitting the £15 cap, which I haven't done yet).1 -

Money in main bank account is moved across to Chase just leaving enough to pay all DDs each monthTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

I opened a Chase saver to stick it in.I like the way accounts can be named too, very handy. No issues whatsoever with app - old iphone 8I'd highly recommend Chase - I got it for holiday spending.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.2
