Why are you still using storage heaters in mid June during a heat wave? Do you live in Shetland or the Orkneys? Genuine question btw.

Overnight stats continue to make me believe that my Eco 7 low rate Circuit is using GMT times as chart stops from 4 a.m. after I had chosen 5 a.m. end times.
As a rule traditional dumb meters (analogue or digital) have fixed clocks and don't adjust for BST (or for anything else).
I don't know if RTS switched meters do, or not; maybe Gerry1 has info on this?
    My RTS doesn't, it's 2230 - 0030 & 0230 - 0730 GMT and 2330 - 0130 & 0330 - 0830 BST.  Used to be handy for 'double dipping' at the beginning and end of the day.

Maybe I need to re check DQ DST daylight savings which I had chosen on power up and after recent reset.
You need to check the meter on the wall rather than make assumptions that may not turn out to be correct.

Sounds like you may have ended up with something that's neither fish nor fowl.
As the Quantum has both a 24h and a White Meter switched supply it simply doesn't need to be programmed with the cheap rate times, it should be ignoring them completely.
It's like setting up a Direct Debit to pay your council tax and then popping in to the council offices every month and paying cash over the counter.
Similarly, you'd be in no doubt whether and when the Quantum's switched supply was live if (as previously suggested) its fused spur had included a neon indicator.

Not sure why eco 7 rates are reprogrammable and hrs listed direct from dq lcd on heater, thought ide try them anyway, pre prog hours seemed rather 24hrs total which of course e7 Low rate isn't.

I'm not sure either, though I did briefly mention post install my electrician didn't use a Lighted spur switch, I forgot on day to re request.
If I compare my night time usage using SP times, then since heater has been installed Ide say Eco 7 is using GMT rather than BST -DQ heater does ask if DST is to be used which I chose.

The lower rate times are programmable because they vary from meter to meter,  region to region and country to country; they can even be for two separate periods with day rate in the middle. But all this is relevant only if your Quantum is internally wired for a single supply which yours should not be.
You really do need to establish that your Quantum has been wired and programmed correctly; I'm not convinced that's necessarily the case.
Wishing and hoping may prove to be an expensive mistake.

I admit defeat as todays early costs without yesterdays overnight washer dryer are adding up to Day Time Peak Rate.
Only one question to check via mser's

DQ 'Heating Source' option offers 2 choices which I played with yesterday.
    1 .Storage Only
    2  Storage|+Element

Is it possible I chose option 2 in error unless of course Element is required for heat to generate then be stored.

    thanks

    To Add

Is it possible to change or switch original Eco 7 socket over to standard peak rates.
Though times of that sock did match eco 7 start/stop times.

'Element' is effectively just a built in fan heater for emergency use.  Its heat output is not stored, it's blown out instantly and then it's gone.  It uses the applicable rate for the time of day which is likely to be very expensive so you should never set it to come on automatically unless the heater is too small and you always run out of stored heat.
The only way to change the cheap rate switched outlet to standard rate is to have a single rate tariff.  But it would be madness to charge up with full price electricity, it would completely defeat the reason for having NSHs in the first place.
You really must understand that with two supply circuits the Ouantum doesn't need to know the White Meter or E7 switching times.

Excellent thanks meanwhile Ive run SP Reads again t.b.h. its only 1xx units night/day rates of consumption differnce.
Cost wise is 79 since 21st May up-to very latest reads which Smart Meter were only 2-3 units less(30 min updates)
e.g. say 2 of 4 weeks June 79x2 158 One Month matches SP SVR Estimate, I don't think I have Circuit type fault.
Just seems quite expensive when DQ Uses 3 hours for  heat and storage, then my starting cost this morning was 2.48 soon £3 range.
It has been amazing as I only ever used Small Halogen heater which was pennies in winter and found 2k fake flame not to be room filling and costly.

I'm today at stage when DQ experiments stop, though very tempting to run late afternoon early evening heat for 1-1.5 hrs.

    thanks mser's

I'm not sure how much effect warm temps during summer are having as whilst I can change schedules across weekdays/weekends.
The Only Time I have seen Evidence of Low Rate 'Heat' being 'Auto' stored from midnight BST,
Is When I have Manually  Timed Schedule to Heat during certain hours per night.
The part I fail to understand is, Why is DQ Not attempting to Auto access or store Low Rate or Any Heat overnight.
If it's due to Very Warm Summer room Temps, fine, If it's Failing to 'Switch' to Low Rate as per 'Original' NSH Socket (which now has new Spur non neon)
Then I could be in need of further diags nearer Autumn/Winter.

    thanks
