Unless you set it to an absurdly high temperature to last all day I would not expect it to charge up during a heatwave. It's like expecting the fridge compressor to kick in if it's in a shed where the ambient temperature is below freezing.

Hopefully that's proved to be the case, room temps have been mid to high 20'c range.

    thanks appreciated.

I'll post update soon as too many posts from me for since DQ Install.
I've raised Service request with Dimplex, meanwhile I re checked Support steps and have one or two concerns.
1 Do Not connect to Plug- My '24/7 Live feed is via DQ being hard wired into existing Plug type socket.
2 Don't use 13A Fused Spur, I have just checked Eco 7 socket and behind new Spur, a 13A fuse has just pinged and I can't re seat it.

    Lets see what Dimplex advise.

    thanks

Is this correct way to re insert Fuse as it's very difficult to hold in place and re insert into wall.

    thanks

Sounds like it needs replacing as it should hold the fuse securely in place without any effort from yourself.

Thanks the fuse just falls, no chance of holding and re inserting.

I'll add one last photo as I'm not sure if that fuse was from Spur I heard sound and noticed 13A on floor.
I have case with Dimplex raised which could be 5 days for reply.
I have raised separate request with knowledgable Storage Heater repairs Co, may talk to them mid week.

    From Dimplex help....
    • There should be a switch (unfused) for the off peak supply
    • Is this the same as removing Fuse from recent Spur Switch'
    • Every Spur seems to be 13a via Screwfix.

Unfused switch doesn't mean take the fuse out of a fused switch.  It means a switch that never had a fuse - i.e. a 'normal' switch.

You really should have got the switch with a red light then you wouldn't need to ever check the fuse but for info, my 3.4KW box of bricks has a 13amp fused switch.

Is this valid example or does the 45A rating mean it has a fuse.
I'll talk to Electricians this week, Ive turned heater off, guess there's Zero again from what has today become 'Fuseless'
