Here I am carrying debt again...and again, trying to get rid of it. I haven't even gone through it all to see how much I owe, but I'll get around to that soon enough. My current focus is on repaying this little lot:

Yesterday, whilst at work, I took a walk up to the cathedral during my break and sat down in the grounds to read. The weather was delightful and I really enjoyed feeling the sun on my skin. It also meant that I kept away from the "usual suspects" and avoided spending on Lattes, Mints, Marzipan and Praline chocolate. An NSD was achieved, hooray.2

Today, my train home was cancelled so I had to wait for an hour for the next one. Sitting for such a length of time in close proximity to vending machines containing crisps and chocolate was challenging. I didn't succumb and today became another NSD.
Also, I PADded £16.00 which takes me to:

I'm off today but will try and do some work on finances. I have a real aversion to stuff like this though and would much rather do housework and I detest housework!

£492.21 TCC - 07/22 - paid in full 28/05/23

I also have an addiction to all bad things. I tend to buy chocolate and crisps, etc. in bulk either online or b&m style places. I know it doesn’t help stop eating them, but does mean you pay less and can carry them in your bag for emergencies 😋 I really want some marzipan now….Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hi @WinterWarrior, I'm with you on the mad for the bad! Bulk buying is definitely the way forward to save on the cost of these items, for sure. Enjoy the marzipan, when you get round to having some0

So, I spent time on credit card reconciliation having avoided it for months and months. I transferred money from business expenses, that I was owed, and this reduced my credit card balance by a fair bit. I now have the following outstanding for payment (detailed in transactions rather than one large amount):
£36.04 £56.98 £137.79 £31.00 £38.75 £30.06 £11.30 £48.18 £7.60 £15.00 £56.91 £41.40 £31.74 £50.13
£14.95 £5.05 £50.00 £53.99 £16.62 £14.99
There are still two other credit cards to be looked at. But I got my housework done too today. Pretty productive for me, for once!

I picked up an overtime shift yesterday and I just wanted to mention that when I was on a train, the one about half an hour behind mine was involved in a fatality. My thoughts go out to everyone who were involved in that - the person who died, the family left behind. the train crew and the emergency services. Should not have to happen.0

Oh that's horrible. Much sympathy to all involved. I worked with someone who was injured in one of the big nasty well known train crashes, truly life and personality changing events. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
