I am on my break just now and it has taken me all my time not to eat my food before now and I mean I started wanting to eat hours before now. I keep eating when I'm not hungry and have been doing this for a long time, as in years and years. I'm now trying to break this cycle and wanted to write about it here just to admit it and thus highlight it.
I had an NSD today which I feel positive about and I also made my pad today which I detailed earlier on; this also makes me feel positive.

Good morning, I have just made my daily pad and today it totalled £18.62. I have had 5 NSD's this month too. I am pleased with both of those things. I have a short shift today at work so I plan to work on the business spreadsheets when I come home. The business is separate to my work. I work full-time at my own job and then I work on the business outwith that. The business consists of mainly admin tasks, rostering, wages, banking and cash reconciliation. I've never done these things before so it has been trial and error. However, my spreadsheets are improving although still need a fair bit of work. I try to listen to what the staff say too just to make sure that I haven't missed something or to see if I can improve things. Previously, they didn't know what shifts they were working or whether they even had hours. The hours are now allocated and rostered and sent out four to five weeks in advance. I feel much more organised doing it this way too. I still have a list of things outstanding to do though. I'm off on Wednesday and Thursday this week (hoping for overtime though) so I might just be able to push myself into getting more business tasks done and out of the way. My part-time lodger leaves today and won't be back until Sunday. I'll try and get his room done and organised before he comes back instead of trying to day it on the day he is due back. I pretty much leave everything to the last minute and I shouldn't work like that. My lodgers are separate to the business that I do the admin, etc for.0

Today is drawing to a close and all I have left to do now is to go and lock up at the business for the night. But that will be in a little while and I am just about to have a cup of tea. The business owner wanted to go over the figures tonight as in turnover vs outgoings. I had a fair bit of dread over this as I have been using my own bank account and credit cards to get us through cash flows problems. I hadn't marked anything on spreadsheets and have been winging it since mid January. Anyway, as I started paying attention to my own finances a few days ago meant that I had to attend to the business ones also. I did more work on the spreadsheets tonight and the business owner is now not interested as he has just come in from a meeting and is sitting eating his dinner. He'll be off to bed shortly and then I'll go and lock up.
I also got the room done that my part-time lodger was in and I have picked up an overtime shift tomorrow. I don't book on until early evening but won't be home until the early hours. I'm hoping to pick another one up on Thursday. Put a load of washing on as well and I'm tempted to hang it on the pulley to dry but DH frowns at this. Would save money by bypassing the tumble dryer though. I'll try it and wait to see if any complaints arise.
Had an NSD today also and spent a fair bit of time reading the diaries on here. Had I spent less time on here I would have gotten more done on admin, but there you go, I'm not even close to perfect.

I picked up overtime on Wednesday which was a late start but meant I wasn't home until 2am Thursday morning. I didn't pick up any overtime yesterday but DH and I got to spend time together. We went to town and had some lunch. We go to the same cafe pretty much every time. It is run by a young lad (maybe in his late twenties) and it has been in his family since 1800 and something. He and the people who work there are just lovely and the food is delish. We then went to the cash and carry to stock up for the business. After that, it was a visit to MiL and she cooked us some tea and we followed that up with a cuppa and a piece of fruit load. We forgot that we needed to go to Lidl as we were too busy discussing all the paintwork knocked off and the bumps knocked in to the car that I have caused. In my defence, hahaha, I reckon that the paint knocked off the car, that is now on the driveway wall, was caused by being spoken into being. I have been coming in and out of that driveway for nearly five years and never hit anything. It is a tight turn and I was always aware it was a tight turn. However, DH took it upon himself when he was sitting in the passenger seat to advise me to be careful coming in the driveway as it was a tight turn. Within the week of him saying that, I hit the wall. I said absolutely nothing about it and within another week he spotted the paint on the wall! So was that a decent enough defence going with the "you spoke it in to being"? We were were laughing about that in the car and before we knew it we were on the dual carriageway and Lidl was a distant memory. Had to go to the big T for some essentials and neither of us like giving them our business.
I had an NSD as DH paid for everything yesterday. When we left the house I said that I hadn't taken my purse and would I need it and he replied "No, I have my wallet". That was very kind of him and he fuelled the (bashed) car for me too.
When I was working on my finances just as I was starting this diary, I was transferring money from the business account to my own account that I was owed. I then transferred those monies from my own account to my credit card and I ended up transferring too much money which meant that I have left myself short for the month if I stick to the PAD amounts that I have planned. I have left myself with £35 which won't quite fill the tank with petrol and there is nothing in there for food. All other bills/direct debits were covered. So that got me thinking about how I was going to keep the car going and feed us. So we've been living on tins of soup and beans and DH has been getting takeaway for himself whilst he has been at work. His takeaways are from his budget and don't affect mine. I then realised that I have received M and S vouchers at birthdays and Xmas so I can use them to get food. After yesterday's outing, there is enough in to take us through to next week and I may have to use up the £35 that I have on fuel so that I can get to work and back. I think my shifts are later next week so I have to drive instead of taking the train. The train is much cheaper than driving and it is a far shorter journey, timewise, too.
I picked up an overtime shift on Sunday as well which I am grateful for.2
