Anyone else finding that when trying to pay into PayPal from the PayPal app with an RBS card it is always unsuccessful. It always comes up on my phone with a message from the RBS app to approve the payment but it has already been rejected by PayPal. I'm trying to do £1.01 deposits from RBS and Natwest to get round ups. Natwest almost always works

It's looking as though HEBS could potentially be a useful source of DDs. There doesn't seem to be any stated limit to the number of instant access accounts you can open with them and they allow 1 DD to be paid into each account per month with no stated minimum.

I've just opened a second instant access account with them so I shall try to set up a £2 monthly DD into each one to replace Scottish Widows DD on my RBS reward account.

It requires a paper DD mandate form to be sent in but they do still have a freepost address so I shall keep you all updated with respect to how long it takes them to set up the DD for future reference.
HEBS CS are incredibly sharp and on the job. I would not be surprised if they took exception to small DDs, even if you don’t breach minimum deposit and balance T&Cs.
After not receiving a response since I sent my DD mandate forms off I've just phoned Hanley Economic BS and they've confirmed they've received my DD forms and set up a DD for £2 to be paid into each of my two Instant Access accounts to be taken on 7th of each month.

I can also confirm their freepost address (FREEPOST HEBS) is still operational as this is the address I sent the DD mandate forms to.

For those who have had an issue with Plum missing a weekly DD earlier this month:

I complained last week on the grounds they failed to notify me that they were having technical issues preventing them from taking the DDs. They have now sent me an email saying they are upholding my complaint on the basis that the technical error and absence of notifications did not meet the standard I should reasonably expected.

As a result they have now paid £20 into my primary pocket as a gesture of goodwill.
I had a missing DD end of July, which I didn't notice up until I saw this post. Plum saying no technical issues at that time. Now 6 messages later and they still haven't raised and provided a complaint reference number.

    Plum

Does anyone know if Plum DDs work with Co-op bank? I did a switch to Co-op from Lloyds and the DD didn't switch over. I was asked to set it up again but it kept failing. Seeing the messages about the Plum issues, I'm wondering if this was also a technical issue?

I seem to recall Plum won't work with Co-op due to Co-op not supporting open banking.

I've had more success with moneybox.

Hi new joiner and just wanted to say thank you for keeping this thread up to date.

Ive been doing some research about other providers allowing savings Direcr Debit ayments and came across the below:

Sidekick Money - their savings account offer direct debit regular payments (not sure if monthly or weekly)

Sprive - have to have a mortgage linked as the purpose of the app is to overpay your mortgage with regular DD savings payments or earning cashback.

Has anyone used either of these?

Ive not used either but I was considering trying one of these to fulfil my bank requirement, I already use Plum and Moneybox so was looking for a third. Anyone else have any other options?
