The fact they took Google Pay meant you could use Chip for umpteen debit card deposits for umpteen accounts (although it limited you to 6 transactions a day)PRAISETHESUN said:surreysaver said:Received an email from Chip yesterday advising they are disallowing deposits by Google and Apple Pay from 31st March, which will make things more long winded for accounts which require a minimum number of debit card deposits per month
I've only ever used Chip for DDs. Didnt even realise there was a workaround to allow debit card deposits as well
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
I didn't realise you could use it for DDs?PRAISETHESUN said:surreysaver said:Received an email from Chip yesterday advising they are disallowing deposits by Google and Apple Pay from 31st March, which will make things more long winded for accounts which require a minimum number of debit card deposits per month

I've got it in my head that they used to before they switched to open banking. Don't believe they allow DDs anymore1 -
I already have a Vanguard Investor SIPP account. Could someone explain how to set up Direct Debits to transfer funds from my current account to this SIPP?
Also, based on the post from March 1st at 1:22 PM, it looks like Chip might be able to trigger a Direct Debit as well. If that’s true, how does that work?

That post was incorrect, no direct debit with Chip.adindaspantai said:I already have a Vanguard Investor SIPP account. Could someone explain how to set up Direct Debits to transfer funds from my current account to this SIPP?

Regarding the Tembo cash ISA at 4.8%:
I've signed up (was referred on a different site) and have deposited £500.
On Saturday I was able to set up a DD for about mid-month and the DD date can be changed at any point so whilst you can only have 1 DD mandate on an account at any point, you could in theory get 2 DDs coming out the same account using the same mandate in a given month by setting the DD date for early in the month then changing the DD date once it's taken to later in the month.
Additionally it's worth noting that they do not allow deposits by DD from Zopa so bear this in mind if you are needing a DD to get the Zopa cashback on DDs.
EDIT:
I must stress do NOT use this thread to request/exchange referral links.0 -
I signed up for this via a referral link. I have put £500 in and want to refer my wife but it keeps telling me I'm not eligible for referrals. Any ideas?Bridlington1 said:Regarding the Tembo cash ISA at 4.8%:

When did you put the £500 in? In my case there was a delay of a few hours between the £500 clearing and the referral link being generated.s71hj said:

The FAQs also state:If you've recently deposited you need to wait until this payment clears which can take up to 24 working hours before your referral code is enabled.1 -

Has anybody had any success in adding money to a Wirex account by debit card?
Wirex currently have a refer-a-friend offer in which both you and your friend get £100 if you sign up and make 20 debit card payments of £10+.
When I did this offer back in November I tried topping up my Wirex account by debit card but didn't have any luck no matter which card I used so had to top up by bank transfer.
I must stress do NOT use this forum to request/exchange referral links.0
