Thanks for the help and .. well hats off to the person who contrived of the idea of this being a way to utilise Starling as an account that could take a debit card payment in!!!! Really useful.ForumUser7 said:
It's not something you need to open - in the sense that it's just another method to deposit into a current account with them effectively.s71hj said:Debit card deposit amount: £1 minimum
Account opening: App
Management: App
Remarks: Starling have a refer a friend offer (free National Trust pass). Do NOT use this thread to exchange/request referral links. You may only make £250 worth of debit card payments per day to each person. You can pay yourself though by editing the following link:
https://settleup.starlingbank.com/**USER**/pay
I have opened a Starling bank account but can't find what a "Settle up" is or how to open one.
Here is some info on setting it up - https://www.starlingbank.com/features/settle-up/
In the https address you used to request the payment of yourself to put in details of the debit card you want to pay in with -
https://settleup.starlingbank.com/**USER**/pay
USER is your Starling username. I found my Starling username accidentally but can't now work put how the hell I did!!! Not sure if anyone else can, to help others?3 -
In the app, go to PAYMENTS and then scroll down to REQUEST MONEY
the link ending with your username is then on screen
alternately, from that point, you can also actually send to yourself [e.g. by email] a request to pay yourself (you can ignore the "how much" within the starling app at this point or actually enter it and it will include the "amount=x.xx" at the end), and you will get the link emailed to you so you have it in your inbox for future reference

In case it helps anybody else, I've realised that when it comes to my monthly debit card requirement that requires an amount (£500 for Halifax Reward ) rather than a fixed number of transactions that can be little (eg tsb spend and save) the enormous advantage of this Starling route is instant access including at weekends to get the money back to the account I want to keep it in having fulfilled the requirementblue_eyes said:In the app, go to PAYMENTS and then scroll down to REQUEST MONEY

I add £500 to my Revolut account using the Halifax debit card as source then pay that money straight out again. Takes minutes and has been working for years. In case it helps anybody else, I've realised that when it comes to my monthly debit card requirement that requires an amount (£500 for Halifax Reward ) rather than a fixed number of transactions that can be little (eg tsb spend and save) the enormous advantage of this Starling route is instant access including at weekends to get the money back to the account I want to keep it in having fulfilled the requirement1 -
Would that be a Revolut Savings account, or a Revolut card account? (if their card account is the type one tops up, like Zing.)flaneurs_lobster said:

Due to having a fair amount of overtime over the next couple of weeks, which includes working 15 1/2 hours tomorrow and some 14 1/2 hour working days I shall be rather pressed for time so have taken the decision to not to update this thread for the next 2 weeks so that I can focus my forum activities solely on ensuring the regular savers thread is updated daily.
I am due to have my next full day off work on 15th February so shall make any updates to this thread then.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you to the many who have contributed to this thread since it was relaunched in 2023.9 -
I have found this thread enormously useful information the last few months and enormously appreciate your efforts. Any updates you can do are really appreciated and by monitoring the thread people can keep up to date with changes as noted by other users. I'm hoping to write a post on the thread of all the currently available things I've been able to do to make both lump sum gains and also regular income streams in the hope it will help others and also others can add examples.Bridlington1 said:Due to having a fair amount of overtime over the next couple of weeks, which includes working 15 1/2 hours tomorrow and some 14 1/2 hour working days I shall be rather pressed for time so have taken the decision to not to update this thread for the next 2 weeks so that I can focus my forum activities solely on ensuring the regular savers thread is updated daily.
