Had a great free day out with K and her girls - we went to our regional CoOp's Fairer Living Festival, arranged around the AGM (but we gave that a miss), at Cheltenham racecourse. If you are a member and something similar is happening in your area, it's probably worth a look. There were fun activities for the girls to do, delicious food samples from local suppliers (I think DH tried them, all) including locally made gin (which K rated highly), a folk band that set my feet tapping, an inspiring talk by Ben Fogle, and lots more. As the icing on the cake, cloud gave way to sunshine after lunch, showing off the countryside in all its glory.
Rosie went out twice with the dog walker and this evening has eaten her boiled fish rolled in crushed antibiotics without complaining and had her usual mad half-hour - it's so good to have her well again
Flying has consisted of loading the DW after 2 meals, re-heating lasagne and jacket potatoes for tea, and sewing 2 badges onto a Cub's jumper7 -

Been meaning to ask you piggers - are you noticing any difference in Twinkle's energy levels or general demeanour since she switched to GF. I realise it's a long haul but was just wondering. Please excuse my ignorance if that's a stupid question.
The neighbours are all in shock. I've done QH gardening!!!! I pulled up weeds around the edge of the back yard, secateured the baby trees trying to grown from under the house. Sorry baby trees. Then cut down two saplings and pulled all the ivy away that was starting to grow up the wall of the house. Ooops. Sorry ants.
I've also measured the entrance on my bird house. I've had a pair of great tits, a goldfinch and a starling show interest. The starling especially so. The hole is 1 inch across. Is that big enough?
Coffee next.

It has only been 12 days but no.. there is no difference at all but it can take a while if it is coeliac disease rather than choosing to not eat gluten. She has complained a bit less about tummy aches at bed time but her eczema is still sore. She did a poo the other day which had ends but that is the only thing we have noticed but she didn't really have symptoms which couldn't be linked with other things. It was honestly not one of the diagnoses we were expecting because there were no symtoms as such.DW on, 1 WM on, kitchen swept and wiped so it is actually presentable in there.Cat biscuit dispenser filled and the 2 empty boxes filled.Twinkles cereal and spaghetti decanted into containersI need another run of the DW and the sides should all be cleared. It was a swamp in there.Cuppa and hanging out washing...Saga of the inlaws has stepped up 4 gears.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -

I've been into town to fill up with petrol and pick up my prescription. I thought about loading my boot with stuff to take to DS but it started to rain - so that knocked that idea on the head.
I managed to get another QH weeding done while the sun was shining. I am soooo not fit at all.

Hi all
Glad Rosie is better, and well done on the gardening Round.
After a bit of a meltdown last night because I felt tired and ill and was worried about my underactive thyroid playing up I went to bed and slept for 10.5 hours. Whether I will sleep tonight remains to be seen!
We went to my parents for lunch, I cycled there and came back in the car with DH after a huge lunch and 3 glasses of wine. Mum and I went for a little wander around the village in the sunshine, although it wasnt quite warm enough to sit outside. It was very relaxing.
After a big flying effort the house now looks presentable and I feel ready for the week ahead.
See you all on the new thread.
