Hi all
Awful day, so much to do at the paid stuff and we had a family funeral so had to work around that. Tired now.
House is not too bad, some washing to go over the airer in a bit and the kitchen floor is grubby. I have a meeting at 4pm tomorrow and dont usually work Friday afternoons so that has not put me in the best frame of mind.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.8 -
Waves to dancemum x
I managed to cross a number of jobs off my list today. As well as the ongoing admin/filing/phonecalls/emails I
- stripped my bed
- did WMx4 and got most of it dry outside
- ironed 4 pillowcases (the whole ironing pile)
- cleaned the bathroom thoroughly
- re-potted my money plant
- swept the yard
- dug about 20 dandelions and thistles out of the lawn
- gave Rosie a short walk up the lane and admired the bluebells, gorse and campion (I couldn't go very far because I had back ache, but in any case Rosie was worn out when we got home)
- arranged for the dog walker to take Rosie for a walk on Saturday (we're going out for the day and she can't come with us)
- re-made my bed except for the duvet cover
- persuaded DH to help me with the duvet.
In the morning I have to be out of the house by 7.30 to take DGD1+2 to school, so I'm glad my bed is ready to fall into!
Wishing everyone a peaceful night and no need for the WAC xxx6 -
Not much to report, minimal flying to keep on top of kitchen after meals are cooked, meals themselves are a struggle as I have not been shopping since back so its whatever we can find and put together. WUDUPA and DW emptied from when DD used it on Monday.
Floor was mopped after DD dropped a water bottle (hard plastic) and the bottom dropped out so needed clearing up.
DH has been busy ferrying the caravan for a service but its had very little use since Covid so lots of things are not working properly and we now have a bill for £1600. I have suggested to him that we either use it or get rid as it costs us £93 a month just in storage and insurance which over a year is more than we just paid for our holiday s will be interesting to see what he decides.
He has excelled himself today (according to DD) while I have been at the paid stuff with loading the WM and TD with the holiday washing so one less job to do at the weekend which will be busy. DGS will be 3 on Sunday so DDIL has asked me to have him for a few hours on Saturday while she makes his cake. I am still working on the topper and being the perfectionist I try to be with some things, I am having to redo one part which involves tidying up the image pixel by pixel!
Decided to work from home tomorrow so that gives me 1/2 extra am and pm plus an additional 1/2 day at lunch to get things done.
Bed for now though 😴Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
hello all…thanks for the waves Dancemum. not been there in years.
have had a lazy day, though cardigan finished and blocked - just doing the button band now. Cardi is blue, band will be white as ran out of blue wool - but i think i will put blue buttons on and it will look fine.
Have been through a box of sisters memorabilia. Most has gone into recycling.

Thank you Honey Bear6 -
I have been in the WAC since 04.15 - not Rosie's fault. Hey-ho. Must get up now!7

Morning all xx
I spent hours in the WAC last night. Just could not get to sleep. Most unusual for me. On my left. On my right. Duvet on. Duvet off. Duvet half on. Arms out. Arms in. At one point I was convinced there was someone on the stairs. When you live alone that is not conducive to sleep 😱
Heyho. I am up, made my bed, brought down PS from RoD2 (after sorting PS3 and Wii yesterday ready to return to DS, and recycling empty PS4 box), and I'm having a brew.
I made a dent in the magazine pile yesterday instead of watching telly. 6 magazines to be recycled. Every little helps.
Hairdresser's appointment at 5pm today. Until then I plan to do a bit, sit a bit.
Hope you all have a good day

You could have joined me in a cuppa or 2, round x I think I woke up because I was chilly - that'll teach me to wait until June before changing the duvet to the 4.5tog (but the 2 previous nights I woke up too hot!).
Met DS1 and grandkids at the end of the lane, as planned, and took the girls to bus/school.
Came back home, pottered while DS made breakfast.
Unloaded DW and began filling it again.
Gave Rosie her tablet in fish and rice, but she didn't quite finish it.
Decorated a coffee cake for DS1 and got a vegan fruit cake out of the freezer for DDiL1.
Texted K about arrangements for tomorrow's outing and then had a phone conversation with her - I now have to transfer some badges from one of the girls' Beaver top and sew them onto her new Cub top. And I thought my list was getting shorter...
I've got to send 2 more emails and update a web page, then I want to clean all through the rest of the house but need to go to Action Heart at 11.00. I've already brought the cordless thingy upstairs, and if I dust, DH can "volunteer" to hoover downstairs. And I mustn't forget to make packed lunches for us both - I need to be back at school to pick up the girls at 3.10, and might have to go straight there if I'm as slow at exercising today as I was on Wednesday
Hope everyone has a good day xxx
