Shows how great their systems are..... if their ANPR systems are similar it explains why so many people end up here.
What a shambles.2 -
This is a sample SAR with the information you should have provided:

I didnt use the SAR form but can do when I email them back with more info as neither of them can find me on their system with just name and address apparently.0 -
Wait. If this is DCB please DO NOT get a SAR.
This has already been said in several DCB Legal LBC threads last week.

Reply back from both the DPO's - neither of them can find me on their system using Name, Address.
Both have requested car reg. reference number, date and location etc.
Surely this is a nonsense. I physically have the letter that was sent to me, at the current address and the old address was also give in my DPO email requesting they erase it.
I don't see that I am obliged to comply and provide further data - they clearly have my name/address (new/current) as I have the letter.... and I presume they had my old address for all the reasons already given previously).
To go back to this - curiosity more than anything.... I am basically at the waiting stage of further letters and trying various stages of Plan A.
But this, above, am curious as to a) why neither of them DBC Ltd nor Highview can find me on their system by name and address. After all, they both clearly have my name and, it is presumed both my addresses (current one and one I haven't actually been at for 18 months but which it is assumed they used).
And further - why go making it easy for them and give them the vehicle etc info... surely my 'duty' has been fulfilled using name/address - telling them one was old and to be erased and the other the only one to be used?
[just asking - I will now get back in my box and await for further letters]0 -
You don't want a SAR in a DCBLegal case anyway. As discussed several times.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's quite normal for PPCs and their agents to have a rubbish system that only allows a search by PCN number or VRM.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2

Back again peeps....
As per Newbies Thread - I did Embark on Plan A but that got nowhere pretty much. I haven't bothered checking back in regularly as it was all same old same old.
Today however, I arrived home from a work trip and noted I received a different letter from different people today. (Well not really that different).
I now have a Letter of Claim from DCB Legal - rather than the usual spouting from DCBL.
I am now going to check back into Newbs thread and hunt about a bit...
==================
To recap - "offence" was in Feb 2023. First I knew about it was late April and I joined here a few days later. [Reason for me finding out late is a snafu with DVLA not having updated my address - V5 despite acknowledging the fact I told them about it].
So end of April, Notice of Debt Recovery - brought unknown matter to my attention (too late to appeal/prove they are talking nonsense).
Mid May - there was a Final Reminder
Mid June there was a Final Notice of Debt Recovery
About 5 Days ago received Notice of Intended Legal Action.
And now, today, Letter of Claim from DCB Legal (not DCBL)0
