Morning all. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.
We got home on Friday evening after a relaxing break with mostly beautiful weather. I was up early yesterday morning to collect Rosie from kennels, and did WMx4 and Rosie's walk before deciding that I was going to SOFA for the rest of the day. I did try to spot Narc0 and MrN in the London crowds, but (unsurprisingly) without success.
Rosie has had me up twice in the night, so I'm still tired. Nothing unusual planned for today, apart from an extra service at church this afternoon, followed by a cream tea. I might have to knock up a few more scones at lunchtime, in case they're in short supply - if they're not needed, I can always freeze them. Lunch will be yesterday's leftovers, and tea will be something quick and easy.
See you later on the new thread xxx7 -
Morning all.I was also up twice in the night with a banging head. It seems to be shifting now but I'll take some more parrots soon.
Oven was on at 6.45 to cook some food for the street party later. I've jus5 had breakfast, will wash up then walk Poppet and then it will be time to set up the table which I still need to retrieve from the shed.
Dry washing from airer put away and I could really do with putting the hoover round.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all,
Up early (ish) too, with the pervading smell of curry lingering. I might have overdone the marinated chicken and the coronation chicken in the fridge for this evening’s dinner that I’m hosting.
Busy day ahead, although thanks to the atrocious weather yesterday I did get a lot of prep done for this evening. Today I will be at the mercy of DH’s lack of planning for the impending guests, as he realises what needs to be done to actually sqeeeeeeeze them around a table.
Grateful yesterday for the weather which allowed me to get slightly ahead and prepared for today, for DH being out for the morning which left me in peace to work my way without interruption, and for lists, lists, lists (and crossing off them, of course. I would have liked it better if the load of washing could have shown just a small sign of drying, but hey ho.
Have a lovely day all, kettle just going back in now for that all important 2nd brew. Join me. x6 -
Morning all xx
Ooo just in time for a second brew with Fayolle, lovely 🫖 😊
Then I'll need to get my butt in gear to catch up with the jobs that didn't get done yesterday.
Back soon with a list.

I've:
Listened to a morning meditation
Supped my second brew
Eaten breakfast
Finished reading my book
Put book in cs pile
Got dressed
Made my bed
Opened windows upstairs
Sploshed bleach down the loo
Fed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Sorted the laundry into loads
Set first load swishing
Coffee now. Kettle's still hot if you want to join me 😊
Then I'll WUDUPA

I've WUDUPA and pegged out the first load of washing. Don't know if it will dry but sun keeps peeping through so 🤞
I've checked my bank statement and filed it with receipts. And ordered my repeat prescription.
Going to read a couple of chapters of my new book now 📖

Brought in and FU washing.
My boiler is flashing with an error code again. 6 days after the man came out and 'fixed' it. I suspected that he hadn't as he said it was a pressure problem but the error code was saying otherwise. And now it's saying otherwise again. 🤦♀️
And breathe.
I'm not ringing this evening. I may wait until Tuesday when the regulars are back at work. And hope they actually mend it. Really don't want Bodgeit & Scarper back again.
