Potatoes planted. Got damp and drizzled on in the process. The weeds are threatening a take over campaign.
Bathroom s&s, plus downstairs toilet *shudder*. Towels washed and now hanging outside. The last of the leeks have been chopped and frozen.
Off to shift some compost in the garden, then maybe indulge myself in some gardening book oogling…looking at rows of neatly planted and healthy veg that hasn’t been overtaken by weeds or eaten by pigeons. ‘Tis a sad life that I lead!
Kettle just boiled, am learning to lose the “The” 🤣8 -

Well done, Kaz.
Random bits of gardening done this afternoon, easy dinner of pizza as per the meal plan.So here goes…day 1 positive thoughts:
actually getting all the potatoes planted, including the runts of the litter which are planted in a potato bag in the back garden;
seeing (noticing and appreciating) the blossom and bluebells on my walk back from the allotment;
picking the first salad leaves from the garden to have with dinner and for tomorrow's pack up.
G’night all. Oaty biscuits in the tin if you’d like one x7 -
T Shirt weather you say Kaz? Blimey, not around here, I am still in winter thermals. Glad it was nice for you though.
Back home after a fantastic weekend camping, feel thoroughly rested and not wanting to go back to the paid stuff tomorrow. Most of our stuff put away and washing out on the line. Lunch packed and hair washed. Mealplan done.
Off to put the electric blanket on, dry my hair and get ready for bed, I was awake very early this morning courtesy of the campsite cockerel and I need to be at the paid stuff by 8am tomorrow.
See you tomorrow x8 -
today i have ironed, dried washing, finished the pink cardi…when i’m better i’m off to visit that babe, made a plan for the other pink cardi…i have run out of wool so shall knit a white button band for it. That one will be donated to Baby Basics (charity providing refugee new mums with a layette) which i vowed to knit for years ago but haven’t got round to. started blue cardi for baby born this morning - have finished back already.

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Huge long list, only got a fraction through it:
- did more of a report and will finish it tonight regardless
- watered greenhouse
- filled bird feeder
- wrote enormous shopping list incorporating ingredients for tomorrow's cake(s) when Bible group come round, Wed eve meal when my brother is here and several Fri-Sun when BIL is here. Including one new to me recipe and one or two of the Coronation recipes.
- Went first to Mr A then last few bits from Mr T so fridge and cupboards are heaving.
- Mr N and I walked round Hertford admiring the 'yarn bombers' lovely knitted coronation post box toppers.
- Put oasis and flowers in to soak for tomorrow's coronation door decoration
- cleaned guest bathroom
- brushed stairs; yes from top to bottom with a small brush, not my usual wave the hoover at them.
- helped Mr N clean and tidy lounge/dining room.
I can't remember what else. Still plenty on list....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all
I dont want to go to work. Thats about it really. Off to do pilates, quick shower then drag myself into the office.
Forgot to take chicken out last night for casserole so mealplan has gone out of the window already!! I will fly later.
Hope Tuesday is kind to you all x8 -
Morning all. Thanks for the list. Hope you're all ok and had a lovely long weekend. Sorry I've only skim read.
I have a day to myself today so plan admin, Tuesdailies and exercise class.
Positive things from yesterday are flying visit from DD which meant I got a cuddle with DGD2, finally moved plants out of house into greenhouse and spent a relaxing afternoon with DH watching beef.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
I don't want to go to work either. But that's standard for me these days.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew.
Before getting up I started to listen to a meditation session but halfway through it occurred to me that I was using my mobile data and not WiFi. And I don't know how 'thirsty' YouTube is. So I hurriedly turned it off. Not exactly a relaxing end to the session 🙃
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I poddle off.
A positive from yesterday: a goldfinch sat in a post right outside my living room window for quite some time. Beautiful bird.
Either someone is having a skip delivered or heavy footed robot aliens have landed in our street 🙄
And on that note:
Ta ra. Have a good one.
