  • Sorted out my cash and filled my 22 and 32 sealed envelopes for the challenge. I should definitely be able to complete it in line with the sealed pot challenge now 😊

  • Morning all! This weekend was great but it felt far too short... today I'm off to meet some friends for lunch so it won't be a NSD, it will be low spend though. It's pay day on Friday, and I am looking forward to that. Holidays to pay for haha!

I've sent £3 to the EF as my PAD today, nothing to cash out from anywhere and Prolific has been really quiet lately... it's taking a long time for approvals.

I hope you all have a lovely sunny day!

    Enjoy your lunch :)

also noticing prolific quieter than usual (and longer time for payouts). Probably as the academic year is coming to a close!

  • Well, lunch out is postponed as quite a few can't make it. So an unexpected NSD for me :)

You're probably right about the end of the academic year @daintydaisy, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining as such, just a noticeable difference lately.

  • Morning everyone, I am later this morning as I went to the gym before work.  It's another NSD for me today and my PAD was £3 to the EF.

I sold a bag on Vinted last night so I posted that this morning :) I still need to get some more stuff listed for sale but I'm lacking motivation this week. Still counting down to pay day, 3 days to go.

Prolific is still slow, but I have managed to send £5 from Zipzero to my gas and electric bill. Nothing else from anywhere yet.

I hope you have a good day all, whatever you have planned.

Prolific also very slow for me at the moment LMD.
The good thing for you is that you have kept your saving habits from your debt free journey and haven’t had a ‘relapse’. When do you plan to start building your Sabbatical fund?

I genuinely feel a bit guilty now when I spend money Antomac, hence the spending I've done or planned so far is only family holidays rather than material things.  I'm sure things will change when I get more of a buffer but for now I am rmaining quite 'tight' with my spending plans.  My priority for the savings at the moment is the holidays, they need to be paid off and some spending money accumulated. Then the EF (which my PADs are contributing to) and then I'll start the sabbatical. I think realistically it will be December, maybe 2024 before any real funds go towards that.  I don't want to put myself under too much pressure.

Today I have sent £3 to the EF and it will be another NSD. I've nowhere to be an as it's so lovely and sunny I am going to try and get to the bottom of the laundry basket :D

I did manage a cash out on Prolific yesterday and sent £9 to the sealed pot. I still have another £10 pending and I managed a few studies yesterday afternoon. I hope to be able to get some more today.  Last night I applied to Nielsen research so I will wait to see whether I get accepted for that.

Think that's about it for now.  Have a lovely Wednesday!

  • So, this Nationwide fairer share thing has me pondering… the same day I had the email hubby also had one. We have the joint account with nationwide and our mortgage.

Then on Monday, he had a letter addressed to just him saying that £100 will be paid to him. It’ll go in the joint account blah blah.

Today I’ve had the letter, just to me. Does this mean we are both getting £100? That’s how it reads… Either way I’m not complaining. It’s just not quite clear. A bonus none the less!

As you can see, still an over-thinker 😂 Nothing else to report, just that little brain dump.

From what I can gather you have to have a current account and savings account with them. I have both so I get it, DH only has current account, so he doesn't qualify

  • We have both a current account and a mortgage but they’re both in joint names. Just seems odd that we are getting correspondence individually.
