CPW / O2 - PAC Code nightmare!

I'm disgusted by CPW's behaviour. Im pretty sure Orange, T-mobile, 3, O2 direct, will accept a request for PAC over the phone
I spent a good 25 mins of the phone. The first 5-10 mins was fine -- ie figuring out offers, texts, etc a little selling attempt no problem, but I then got firmer asking several times for PAC & they just got more obstructive. (I remained polite but insistent).
I did point out to them that the PAC was only giving me the option to consider switching and that their approach was convincing me that switching was actually the right thing to do.
After checking with Ofcom it appears they are entitled to ask me to request pac in writing, but have to respond within 2 days, so mail/recorded delivery it is.
I'm not in a hurry but a comms company insisting on letters. Clear obstructiveness IMO.
But remind me not to go near CPW O2 again (I wouldn't want to tarnish regular O2 CS with the same brush). What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

I've seen mention of a disconnection/reference number being needed for my PAC code.
I've written my tel number, account number in the latter.
The only reference I have is "1007/02" as part of the address.
Is that the reference number, or is there another special magic key CPW need? What goes around - comes around

I called to get my PAC today from 02@CPW. Still no change to the policy, they still want written notice sent to a PO Box address recorded delivery to request a PAC Code.
I've requested PAC from 3, Vodafone & Family Mobile in the past, and all of them gave it over the phone same day.
CPW clearly dont want to make it easy to get the code. When you request it they put you through to retensions, then keep offering you other offers until you keep rejecting, Then they give you the address.0 -
I can remember a few years ago when i wanted to cancel my CPW contract as it had come to an end. They wouldnt give me the correct address/gave me different ones depending who i spoke to. Kept trying to sell me new contract for 1/2 hour even tho i said wanted to cancel constantly, kept telling me had to speak to someonesle who would sort it and they just gave hard sell again and on and on this went on for at least 4 calls and 2 hours.Eventually kept them but now trying to get out again , bet its still not easy0
