Hi all, got back from S. Yorks Tuesday afternoon after a brilliant time seeing the family.  Meals were totally erratic and not very SW, but managed to get to the WI and STS.

Presently trying to get organised for 18 days away in the Lake District, first 10 days taking the c'van to Keswick so know there are plenty of shops for food, it will need to be very basic apart from times eating out as although we have a full size cooker, after 50 years in the role of household catering manager I refuse to do much cooking and only use MW, AF toaster and omelette maker. The worktop space is so small I cover the hob unit.

Bubbs I hope that your mum can get some of the support that she so badly needs.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

    Morning all,

Bit grey here and think we are due rain later.

Glad DDad and DMum had a better night @bubbs and hope they get some help, even if it is once a day just for dressing. Hope the doc can advise on the suspected Reynauds, sounds awful xx
Well done on STS after being away @maddiemay x
Boo to the gain @Abbafan1972 - was that expected? So frustrating for you x
Dad very much enjoyed the pork @maman!

TOTM has arrived today and explains why I have craved chocolate these past two days. I took some wispa bites to the cinema - bad move - and have felt sluggish all week. We are out for dinner with friends tonight as a birthday treat for DH, so will need to chose wisely.

    Food today will be:
    B - blueberries, yoghurt, granola - S, 4, HEB
    L - grilled bacon, poached egg, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes - P, S
    D - who knows??!!
    HEA - milk
Syns - probably a far few......

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all.

Good to hear a better night was had @bubbs, and definitely sounds like Reynauds, hope you get some answers soon.

Will keep those suggestions in mind @maman - might be somewhere for us to escape to when our friends are driving us mad (someone dropped out last night so cue a scramble to find someone new to come along who can take a week off work at short notice!)

Gains are always annoying @Abbafan1972 and sometimes happen for no reason.  I'm sure it will sort itself out next week.

I'd be the same @maddiemay - I cook all the time at home so try and do the bare minimum while we're away anywhere 😉

Star week arrived yesterday and I'm feeling absolutely rotten.  Did half a workout last night as felt a bit of a migrane coming on, but then did manage a run this morning before I've sat down to start work.  Breakfast was scrambled egg, toast and an apple, lunch is some vegetable goulash from the freezer and dinner is a chicken burrito bowl with black beans, salad and cheese.

Won't be around much for the next week probably so hope you all have a good bank holiday weekend!

    Afternoon all

    Thanks everyone about Dad.

Maddie glad you had a nice holiday and hope you have another nice holiday  well done on STS

Ruby, hope you have a fab time !! 😁

    Enjoy dinner tonight Coxy 😁

Abbafan think i will be joining you tomorrow but mine is from last week 🙄

Dad had to go for bloods today , was told in and out on Weds, appointment made for 11am, so left home 10.30, 11.20 not seen so told by BIL to go as he had work this afternoon. Asked when they would be seen, was seen more or less straight away then, had to wait for results 🙄 Mum asked when they would get them as needed to book a taxi before 2.30 otherwise wouldn't get one till about 4.30 after all the school runs!
Oh we can always post them to you, why the hell didn't they say before?!!
So i said to Mum nothing to eat again, she said yes they come round with prepacked sandwiches, i said so could Dad have some? No because they had butter in!! so they bought him so biscuits, he couldn't even have a cuppa of tea as no soya milk or anything!
When i rang at 2.50 they had literally just got in!
They were pleased with him anyway and the bloods from Weds were ok.

I rang today for my blood tests, oh no we don't do them at the surgery anymore! I said well the doctor told me to ring yesterday and how long have you not done them there? They said oh months........i said that's funny i had some a few weeks ago! I said so can't have a blood test, can't see a doctor, what's the point of the surgery 🤣
Anyhow booked them at hospital 25th May! 🙄🙄

Got another bargain in farmfoods today, i'll post picture , 1 is 1 syn the others are free
