We can’t leave this issue without getting a fix as even a tiny rain is puddling the patio and it’s affecting the fence shared with neighbour. We can’t even water the plants freely . If little bit water gets in patio it will remain there forever until we manually clear it off.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1

Which should have lifted a flag to check...If they did not then do not use any of them, or you will be back again with the same issue.
Sounds like they are all working together. Which is why having a look yourself is a good idea.

Most frustrating thread ever. The OP is still going on about a refund when they’re not entitled to that. And I agree with other posters, this water is coming from somewhere and that somewhere is leaking.1

it’s not water leak, it’s water puddles after rainfall or if you wash the patio. Water is not draining away that’s the issue0 -
Here people are making this a big discussion , hence I started a new thread before going to the court and someone has merged both posts.
just to clarify : we have water puddles after the gardener put out new patio for us . This is our issue. Puddles are caused after rainfall or simple wash of the patio.. in short any water near the patio will take days to clear off even with bright sunshine..it’s not draining away. The puddles have reached the fence as well which will destroy the fence in long run and we would have to reinstate that which will again involve money from our Pocket.
we didn’t have any such issues with our old patio laid down by the builder.
please don’t deviate by making your own assumptions and trying to make me look like a person planning to get refund from a poor gardener ..I don’t need any money from anyone unnecessarily and do not want to spend more on another’s persons fault.I would have posted a video here with detailed view of the patio but format not allowed.
Plus we have slab different colour issue as well.Hope this is clear and let’s stop it..there is no use going back and forth.
Thank you @ born again. I guess only u understood me here. Yes I will get expert witness report and sue the gardener.0 -

Fence will not rot due to standing water as there is concrete or bricks @ the bottom.
Lifting & relaying slabs should not cost £2.5K. Unless they are going to dig out, lay hardcore & sand 1st. Which should be there anyway.Life in the slow lane1 -

Our front garden was also done by the shady gardeners father son duo and now in 6 months big big weeds are growing. He charged us £500 extra for that work. Two other landscapers said it would have cost max £1500. Their trick was first say £ 3000 then discount it as £2000 so we will agree , take £1500 as advance which would be the original cost.
similarly for back patio they said £5000 then discount as £4000 we agreed, £2500 advance which would be the actual cost ( slightly more of course) then get the rest after the work.
For rest of the garden they said £5000 without discount and hence we didn’t agree and tried harder to get new guys which helped us in getting that work done by £1900 …no weeds or any issues, all fine .0
