The "any other reason" will be the reason, hence the 2 months notice (If we want to end the agreement for any other reason, we must tell you at least 2 months in advance).

  • Two different pairs of shoes here:

@Bridlington1 has been kicked from LBG, meaning from all 3 banks in the group and has been given 2 months notice by Halifax. (not sure on BOS and Lloyds)

I have been kicked by Halifax literally 2 days after I opened the account. I not even had the opportunity to put money into it as the day I was planning to fund the reg saver was also the day when I received the text telling me about it.  Accounts are closed with immediate effect, see letter a few pages earlier. My Lloyds account is working and functioning without issue and as usual (for now). My letter also doesn't state that I will be blocked for life. Just said I don't meet their criteria.

So, seems like different parts of the T&C's apply in each case.

Yes, in your case they decided they didn't want you to have the specific accounts you opened, so it wasn't an ending of the relationship (more of a shot across the bow).

I most certainly hope this is the case. They might got put off by the 8 credit cards and a total limit of almost 60k on them, with just under 50% utilisation of which 95%+ is stoozing and the overall number of current accounts. I definitely won't touch LBG for a while and let the dust settle and will only think about them when I use one of the Lloyds cinema vouchers.

I don't know if they are applying a LIFO on multiple accounts ... there is a strange FAQ that appears at the end of the list if you search for 'how many savers can I open':
Q: I have more than one savings account. Will you be closing my others?
A: Only new savings accounts will be closed.

If you're referring to the FAQ on this page that's solely about non-UK residents:

For example, since we are talking specifically about LBG here, you still have people that are abusing the multi-profile loophole to create and run multiple sets of halifax reward accounts... each profile paying out £15 per month, and each able to take advantage of switching incentives. That alone is more "abusive" than anything I have read in this thread, but they get away with it because I can only guess that no one has gone looking for it.

LBG are quite quick now at combining multiple profiles; though I reckon they will only tolerate so many attempts at tricking them before they terminate the relationship with you for life.

My Halifax and BoS accounts are all visible on either internet login. My Lloyds accounts are separate. Has anybody found that their Lloyds accounts are also visible alongside Halifax and BoS?

No - they are all Lloyds banking group but Halifax and BoS are linked in a way Lloyds is not.

L branches will not service B or H
