Thank you all for kind insights!

I don't have any evidence that having 3 rewards accounts will lead to closure.
Must have misunderstood some stories in this forum and the "https://becleverwithyourcash.com/"
     community.

My apologies! Those stories indeed involved some forms of rapid multiple account opening.

I hold 1 Reward account with Halifax (opened in year 2014), 1 Lloyds and 3 bank of Scotland accounts (which used to offer quite high interest rates).

Those who hold 3 Reward Accounts, how long did you wait in between applications? Do you need to use the accounts regularly beyond £500 debit card and paying in £1500?

    Thank you!!!

My first account wasn't originally the reward one, but used to pay interest. I opened it as a switch from HSBC. Then I opened 2 reward accounts about 3 years later within a couple of months from each other. But this was in the days before the big money switch bribes
  • Received a scary e-mail from Lloyds today:
We will be closing your account soon
    Dear ****,
We've sent a new message to your online banking digital inbox. It contains important information, so please try to read it as soon as you can.

As an obvious loss-making customer I was prepared for the worst, but  in the evening I logged in to find the following 'miscellaneous message':

We’ll be closing your Standard Saver soon
    Dear ****
We’ve noticed your savings account has had a zero balance and you haven’t made any payments into it for over 12 months...

    What a relief!

I had the same and it elicited the same response from me too! They must be having a clearout day.
