LBG closing all my accounts on 18th May

I've finally got round to reading through the LBG DSARs. By the looks of things LBG are closing my accounts on 19th May and not the 18th, which is a rather pleasant surprise. I can now get 1 extra day's worth of interest on the regular savers, which by my calculations leaves me about 17p better off than I thought I was going to be. At least that's something I suppose.0

I'm curious - what's "fountain community bank" (Google not helping)?Bridlington1 said:

I presume that's what it calls its internal process and procedures manual/knowledge base. All the banks have them.flaneurs_lobster said:

Fountain is the name of an internal database a bit like an encyclopaedia, as in fountain of knowledge.flaneurs_lobster said:

An organisation I worked for had one of those for when IT things went very wrong, it was called "Priapus".7 -
Priapus being a minor Greek god of fertility, agriculture, and male genitals. Someone picked a belter of a name.flaneurs_lobster said:

Very interesting, my DSAR was very different and showed incorrect personal data. Went to a BOS branch and spoke with a manager for over an hour and we went through page by page and corrected what was possible. The only thing the guy wasn't able to correct was the address move in date. He explained things to me and that he is unable to explain why things are the way they are but thta he is very surprised and never came across something like that for the last 10 years he has been in banking.
The funny bit was that the documents indicated I am able to have a credit card with Halifax but not a current account. He apologised several times that he can't help me further. I had all sorts of documents, e.g. passports, coucil tax bill, payslips, employment contract and more with me and he said that he wouldn't even know where to send all this evidence. We filled in every field in there system so Halifax and in turn LBG has now more data nd information in their sstem than any other bank or building society I am having accounts with.
He did made notes that he has seen all documents and was able to idenify me, and that we corrected a bunch of errors.
Been told to wait for the outcome of my review and complaint. Digital access via app working fine without problems. Currently on holiday so let's see what post I might have when back home after 3 weeks away.1 -
