Muntjac and deer aside which we don't see as portions of meat as we feed them at the end of the paddock.

£4.14 made so happy with that without an EV.

Also with the extra heating yesterday left the heat pump off overnight even though it was zero overnight and the house still held 21oC.

It also tastes good, I eat it myself. Preferably slow solar roasted!

Even better on Agile at -11p!

I was so pleased with myself at charging the car a bit at -3p the previous dip so that it was at 100%, but no complaints overall; bird in hand and all that. The way things are going I can see myself giving people lots of lifts, and possibly converting a few to the virtues of EVs!

But surely Agile is not the best tariff out there for EV's?

It can be OK if, like me, you're an idle pensioner and don't have to be anywhere at a particular time. You can just fill up opportunistically and have your motoring (well fuel element) paid for. There's also plenty of times when the peice is similar to an EV tariff.

Then I guess it's a question if you don't use an EV that much and can chose when to charge with agile rather than having to daily was the price and depreciation worth it. (45-50% depreciation in two years)

That and the fact that EV's are not "green" to produce either. More carbon intensive to make than a normal petrol or diesel car. Roughly 70% more.

Perhaps you bought your EV second hand, that's what we are considering for our second car but are hanging out for vehicle to grid and v2h then we certainly wouldn't be on Agile.

Not everything is a value for money purchase that I understand and sometines is a lovely thing to have so don't be offended by my point of view

That depreciation number is only valid if you decide to sell after two years. If you sell after 10 years then it had less than 10% depraction per year.

We also rarely use our car, but when it eventually gets replaced it will be EV for convenience - I can charge it at home, and I also find them better looking, quieter etc.

back to negative rates again tomorrow, will have to have a good hunt around for washing and drying to do, as EV is now fully charged, and both washing machine and dishwasher have had their high temp cleaning programmes done. Also have a look in the freezer for what veg can be roasted

If these negative rates keep up I'll have to buy another fan heater and go and sit in the garden whilst the house overheats!
