What do you mean by new regime? My tariff is called Agile Octopus October 2024 v1. Do you have a newer version? The SC has not changed.

Those are the currently available rates for a new customer in EMids region.

I'm on the same but my SC is 62p, surely the SVT isn't more than that? Mine used to be about 45p which was cheaper than the SVT.

Now I'm confused, are you wondering why people are reporting Agile has more expensive SC or cheaper SC? It now seems like the latter, though there have been more comments stating the former, going to show it's become a regional lottery.

Some regions have had SC cut since 2024, while others have had them put up. All the while Agile has stood still.

Unless I misread it, I'm pretty certain somebody said Agile wins for them because of the cheaper SC.

When the cap sc went down last year, or whenever it was, in London and at least one other area, they went up instead. So as no adjustment to Agile was made, while we in London stayed low, most others stayed high. Mine is still 39.5p and I don't want it to change.

I hung around on Agile through one of their expensive periods in the hope they would take the s/c down to the same as the standard tariff but they never did, even though Cosy went down, so I quit for a cheapish fix. It is still 10p per day more expensive, not a huge amount except if your usage is very low, which mine is. Now got used to not time-shifting so the only thing that would get me back on it is if the TOU tariffs went zero s/c.

Last year West Midlands region saw something like a 10p cut in standing charge on all tariffs except agile.

I came off agile recently, and the new tariff (IOG) is cheaper in terms of SC (not quite 10p cheaper now, but still cheaper than agile).

PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

Eastern here, Agile SC is just under 1p higher than the current SVT SC, but still lower than the Ofgem SC. The price cap SC is going up just over 4p here in April so if Agile's doesn't change, we'll be winning on that front too.

Same situation - plus that penny is well outweighed by the savings on the unit rates!
