Is the general consensus that all trackers after dec 23 are not worth it? My dec 23 runs out in 80 days so looking at my options post winter 24/25.0

Has the dec 24 been announced yet?Badboi said:Is the general consensus that all trackers after dec 23 are not worth it? My dec 23 runs out in 80 days so looking at my options post winter 24/25.
The later trackers seem closer to the SVR than Dec 23.
It's hard to say what will happen with prices- if they stay at this level a fix is probably a better idea, if tracker starts to fall in Jan, then stay on the tracker.
Ultimately if you want security fix, if you're happy to gamble, stay on tracker.
Don't leave it early either as you won't get back into a tracker for 9 months.
You should be able to get a fix that starts after your tracker ends, they did that for me.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)1 -

Jan 25 is likely to be slightly higher than Oct 24. Whether it's worth it or not will depend on what you expect wholesale gas prices to do. At the moment, gas futures are trending downwards but that doesn't mean they'll continue to do so.https://www.ice.com/products/910/UK-Natural-Gas-Futures/data?marketId=5733940&span=1

I pre-cooked on Christmas Eve - definitely negative prices here in South Wales ...Pat38493 said:
According to Agile portal, there wasn't any negative pricing on Xmas day last year (couple of zero slots by the look of it, and a lot of zero slots the previous day). Maybe you are including export in your statement or suchlike?MikeyPGT said:
True - Christmas pricing was mad last year. Actually got paid to cook my Christmas dinner. Sadly this year I'm away so no chance really to make up for the last couple of weeks, however saying that I only spent 36p on electric yesterday so I shouldn't really complain. Out of curiosity, has anyone with the home mini measured the energy consumption of the device itself? Not that I imagine it’s any huge amount, but I’ve been considering signing up for one and do like to have at least a rough idea of how much anything left on permanently might add to my background usage.Moo…0
