Depends on your main fuse - most modern houses have 100A at 240V = 24kWh.
Some older are 60A so about 13kWh.

There's also many other factors, for shorter periods of time you can draw more so in theory more than 24 could work. Also depends on your house wiring, each is separated by smaller fuse - so it brings additional limits.

Then also neighbours may have impact - if your entire street started drawing 20kWh at the same time..

Trying to get my head around whether I'm better off heating the immersion when its negative slots, than free between 7-9am. We're usually running off the battery between those times, and presumably the Agile rates will be low, so I'm thinking that using negative slots will work more in our favour?

Get paid to use electricity, or get it for free? It's a simple answer isn't it?

Who knows, maybe agile will be negative between 7-9am anyway. In which case you don't get the free power, you get paid to use any electric instead.
