Octopus has a new Tariff for storage heater owners called Snug.
    9p at 0:30-6:30
29p for the rest of the day.

Good move, but still more than TE (plus requirements of E7 wiring).

... plus, an afternoon boost each day so your home is toasty in time for the evening.

Sounds like the timings are controlled by the smart meter ALCS.

According to the figures on the Octopus App I spent more on electricity July to mid December last on SVT than I have for January to date on Agile and that's excluding the standing charge which was - and is - higher on SVT. The last couple of weeks have been a bit rubbish but Agile works for me!

Satisfied customer of Octopus Agile - past savings on average 33% of standard tarrif

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.

Had we still be at our old property I would have been all over that! Excellent pricing for those who want a solid reliable supplier and who manage to shift a LOT of load to off peak!

I think it would help avoid misunderstandings if we could discipline ourselves to include a brief summary of our "setups" in such conversations. In recent weeks my Tracker Dec 23 has been consistently undercutting Agile April 24 and Oct 24 on all Compare timeframes incl. SC's. This would appear to run contra to many of the posts on this thread.
I don't run an EV but I do have solars without a battery. I make no deliberate load shifts but normal consumption is skewed somewhat to avoid the worst of the peak hours. NE England. There must be a way of including these repetitions underneath my signature?

  • Yes - just add the information you want to see to your signature? A lot of folk do have details of their electrical setups in their sigs where they are most active on this board.

I have my account setup to not show signatures.  Some users go way overboard with how much info they include and it clutters up the page.
