Yup, minus pricing for two half hours overnight, annoyingly for some these arent consecutive but the half hour between them is only 2p here

    00:00 - 00:302.54p/kWh
    00:30 - 01:00-3.74p/kWh
    01:00 - 01:302.02p/kWh
    01:30 - 02:00-0.82p/kWh
    02:00 - 02:301.62p/kWh
    02:30 - 03:000.95p/kWh
    03:00 - 03:300.90p/kWh
    03:30 - 04:000.00p/kWh
    04:00 - 04:301.32p/kWh
    04:30 - 05:000.42p/kWh

Yes, you were right in your prediction.

Prices are volatile at the moment with the normal pattern starting to break down. Be interesting to see what happens over the winter months.

I'm away in the caravan but will be taking the opportunity to take the chill off the house so it's nice and warm when I get home.

The magic of the internet and home automation allows me to see the temperature in each room and control the heaters remotely from a forest in the Lake District. And I'll even be paid for doing it!

What's not to like (other than the army of flesh eating zombies that Bill Gates is just about to activate using the smart meter network, of course...)?

Judging by the 50% + wind generation currently occurring, and the prices up until 11pm tonight, it could be another negative day tomorrow. Will get a clue at 10am when the hourly auction pricing comes out (for Tracker).

And indeed, there is negative hourly pricing per mwH between 11pm tonight and 5am tomorrow, so there should be more negative half hours overnight than there were earlier on today.

..... with Octopus Watch predicting the same, a prolonged period of plunge pricing overnight.

As a point of interest, where are you getting your data from? Could you post a link, please? Thanks, Mike

Nordpool. Updates around 11am CET (10am for us) every day

    https://www.nordpoolgroup.com/en/Market-data1/#/n2ex/table

Its hourly, but gives you an indication, the half hour pricing is going to follow the same pattern. You can also see the previous 6 days.

Hourly day ahead auction pricing also appear on Epexspot at around half 9 our time but Tracker uses the Nordpool pricing (it takes the average and applies a formula to it), the two do seem slightly different

Very odd, the half hour pricing didnt even go below 0p per mwH in that time period above, and some half hours it was into the 20s and 30s. Therefore, no plunge pricing at all....except for a half hour at 5am-5.30am.

    Still very cheap though.

That's a bit strange because I understood that Agile pricing is supposed to follow a published transparent approach, so it should follow the same pattern as nordpool with multipliers applied and adjustments from 4pm to 7pm?
