I opened an account with the co-op beginning of February.

This morning I tried to to switch to RBS but got the message 'unable to switch as you current bank is not signed up to the switch deal'  :/ maybe it is because it is a new account as my father switched from the co-op to NatWest last week although his co-op account is years old.

So then I try to switch to Ulster but cannot get past the find a branch menu! No matter what postcode or town name I enter I get the error no branches found. Awful website.

Are you aware that Ulster bank branches are in Ireland. When it asked me to select one during the application I entered Belfast and picked.one of those.
That reminds me, make sure you're on the Northern Ireland Ulster page and not the Ireland Ulster page. There's a link at the top right of the page to switch between them. Ulster operate (for now) in both.

For Ulster Bank do a google of 'Ulster Bank branches', click on maps and pick the branch/town closest to you (so to be able to answer the question truthfully) and you'll find its postcode.

I hit the same problem living in Hitchin.

Are you aware that Belfast is in Northern Ireland, in the United Kingdom?

Ulster Bank closed all its branches in Ireland on 21st April 2023.

It's only March, their branches in Ireland are still open.

Ok I missed the word Northern out.
If you want to be picky,  are you aware that 21st April 2023 is in the future, unlike your grammar states.
