How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1

Or better still ,have you got your money yet ?2

There's another BH looming in only a month's time. Hopefully a decision and conclusion will have been made by then rather than another long w/end gives SisIL scope for more delaying tactics.1

Thinking a little more about this, what I'd hate is your DH agreeing to pay his legal costs, sisIL saying all hers come out of the estate and finding our there's only £4K left, especially since she has yet to provide proof that she still has the money.
I wonder if your DH hasn't already decided/committed to a decision, it would be possible to say that all legal costs are to come from the estate but on receiving his share of the £200K (or whatever it comes to) your DH will then reimburse his sister for what the difference would be if he was to pay his costs from his share.0 -
OP confirmed (a couple of pages back) the money is ‘all there’ and amounts have been discussed.0

I believe that was last year and what has been confirmed recently is the solicitors have talked about the same amount of money. Whether they've actually seen evidence of it, I don't know.tooldle said:OP confirmed (a couple of pages back) the money is ‘all there’ and amounts have been discussed.0 -
This is the post I read.paul2louise said:
The money is still there as solicitors have been taking about the amount. It's all about the costs now. And that is what needs sorting out, either neither includes or both include the costs0 -
Yes, I hope the solicitors have actually seen the evidence it's there. Hoping to hear your DH has received his money soon OPtooldle said:

Any updates to report @paul2louise ?
It's been a few weeks now, so has it all been concluded, finally?

Yes, is there any more update @paul2louise
We're heading for the 3rd bank holiday weekend since Easter, so hoping places being closed for a long weekend doesnt give sisIL any more scope for delaying tactics.1
