I got last week so that worked for me and have applied.   6 weeks wait!  Comes from local council!
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
  • We’re in a postcode that has mains gas and properties within 30m that have it but we’re on a private lane between 2 adopted roads which doesn’t. We did enquire 10 years ago but was told it was £24k to connect us so that was a non starter.  We’ve had biomass ever since and use bagged pellets for heating and hot water.   Same as everything it’s gone from £275 a pallet load last March to over £600 now and we use 7 a year on top of our £2k+ electric bill.  Will try and apply to see what happens.

I use oil for heating and have BG for electricity.
They have 'chosen' to use the £200 to credit my electricity account and when I phoned today to say that is NOT THEIR choice, I want it to pay for my oil, they said they were perfectly entitled to basically use it themselves!!  Surely not?
Incidentally, my BG account is in credit and I am still waiting for the last £67 of the £400!!
    Help??

Sorry if this is wrong thread, I have ow also posted on alternative thread on same topic. :/
  • So, my neighbour further along the road told me she had received her £200 from Bulb.  We are with z#Octopus so assumed we wouldn't have to wait long for ours.
However it never materialised.  Octopus confirmed they have finished making all their payments and that I should apply on gov.uk.
I did this and received confirmation In qualified and have since received an email payment is due soon.
I have just followed a link to the spreadsheet and spotted our Postcode is on it.

Despite being on the list, what other reasons might there be for not getting auto payment?

Thankfully the coal man had made deliveries of coal worth more than £200 since Sept, and he very obligibly posted 2x formal invoices through my door for me to use as evidence

The postcode being off the gas grid was only the first step for getting it automatically.  You then had to be in a census area where the predominant form of heating was not electric - and the census areas, if the ONS tool is to be believed, can appear to be very odd, seemingly random, with boundaries in all sorts of places you might not expect.  [According to that tool, the census area where we live follows the parish boundary, but in the nearest large village there are at least 3 census areas, from memory, all sorts of weird shapes that I can't make head nor tail of - one of them covers the ends of a road with the middle being in a different area!]

Regardless, if you've been accepted through the manual application that's good news and renders the above moot, just a point of curiosity more than anything else.
