No payment from OVO

Therefore the only way I can apply for the £200 is via the Gov.uk website.
This says the following:
If you do not get this payment automatically
You may have to apply for this payment through the AFP Alternative Fund if you do not get it automatically - for example, because you do not have a contract with an electricity supplier.
Applications will open in early March.
They give an example of those that may need to apply as those without an electricity supplier. However the heading clearly covers anyone not receiving the payment automatically.

The only other possibility is if you've switched electricity suppliers since the 1st February, as that's the qualifying date. If you have, your previous supplier is responsible for paying it.
Otherwise yes, you'll have to apply - it's understandable the applications couldn't open before the 28th Feb deadline for the initial majority of payments, but it does seem to be getting later and later …1 -
We are in the same position. No gas in our village and we use oil for heating. However, British Gas (our electricity suppliers) have confirmed that we are are not on the list for payment so we need to apply direct to Gov. Guess will have to wait until applications open. Must say though that not impressed with BG "Chat" as they first told me that we would be getting the payment automatically, no need to apply and that having checked they could see that our payment was "almost approved" and that I would get it in my bank account shortly. A few days after, BG "Chat" confirmed that whilst payment should be received shortly, it wouldn't get returned to my bank account (I pay by DD) and that I would have to apply for a refund. Then a couple of days ago, when contacting BG on Messenger as £200 still not received to either my BG account or bank account, they now confirm that they have no instructions to pay me from Gov so I will have to apply direct when applications open! Annoying that BG "Chat" don't really seem to know much and just seem to give us info that we want to hear so that we go away! I wish they would just say "sorry we don't have any information for you yet". This is not the first time I have had issues with BG Chat. Wish they would be more accurate.0

Thanks @Spoonie_Turtle,
This is an excellent link and I see why E.ON Next are not paying me.
My postcode (although the area extends well beyond the actual postcode), has the following stats.
Mains gas 34.4%
Heating oil 27.1%
Tank or bottled gas 13.5%
Two or more types of central heating 12.5%
Electric central heating 7.3%
All other types 5.2%

Email reply from Eon.Next. Looks like I'll need to wait even longer.
"We are currently working through issuing the payments based on the data that has been provided to us from the Government.
We expect all payments to be made by the end of March.
If, at the end of March, you have had no contact from us, you should go to wwwgov.uk to check what to do next. At that point, the Government will open up an application portal. If successful, the Government will make the payment directly to you."

Assuming my data follows the map boundaries I get:
3.7% Electric central heating
28.4% Mains gas central heating
4.6% tank or bottle gas central heating
6.4% no central heating
31.2% oil central heating
1% wood central heating
1% another type of central heating
23.9% two or more types of central heating
By that I assume I qualify with LPG?0 -

This is a link to the excel spreadsheet of postcodes that are off the gas grid. I understand it was issued to energy companies to make the £200 payment.
It would explain why I've not got anything as my postcode is omitted, probably because there is some gas at one end of it but none as you leave the village.
