No payment from OVO

Hi, like my neighbours I haven't received the alternative fuel payment from OVO. I was directed to the government web site but there is no form to complete to apply for the £200. Has anyone found the form yet?

I am in the same position. The government portal doesn't seem to cover my situation - on mains electricity grid so receiving some discount on electricity bills via Eon.Next but using coal for heating as not on mains gas grid.
  • We're on oil for heating. Was expecting automatic payment via OVO then into the bank. They say I, nor my neighbours, were on the list for the payment. Government seems to be dragging their feet for the likes of us😠

I also have no OVO payment and cannot find the portal to apply to government.
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
  • It's not good enough. Some friends on EDF got theirs automatically on Feb 22. I've just had to top up my oil tank costing mt over £500. That £200 would be most useful.

The portal that allows you to apply isn't up and running yet. The Government website says it will be in early March, and there were reports last week that it woud be today but I'm not sure if that is just speculation. The Government website is here:

If it was speculation, it came from Citizens Advice.

This is on the Citizens Advice website. The link is at the foot of this post.

If you don’t have a contract with an electricity supplier

You’ll need to apply for the payment. You’ll be able to apply on the government website from 6 March.

I use heating oil as we are not on the gas network, although some of my postcode, a mile away, is conneted to gas.

I emailed E.ON Next and got the following reply.

    Hi RG2015 ,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Please head to gov.uk for your next steps since you haven't received the payment, you may need to apply through the Government portal.

    Always here to help,

  • I do have an electricity co. OVO. They say I wasn't on the list to provide me with £200. I heat by oil so I definitely qualify. It just seems the government website isn't updated yet to offer the form so we can apply directly. They like to hang onto our money 🤔😠

Although I can wait a bit, I'm sure there are many others who really need this payment right now. I also suspect there are a number of people out there patiently wating for a payment to arrive oblivious to the fact they are going  to have to apply for it.
  • The more people we can make aware of it the better. My neighbour didn't even know about it. She obviously doesn't watch Martin Lewis!
