Morning, Cant believe Easter is just about upon us. It will be odd this year as DS2 is in Nepal for his college volunteering adventure and returns on easter Monday. I cant wait ive missed him so much. Where they are there is no phone signal either, so its very wierd having no contact at all. I mean hes useless at communicating at the best of times, but this is the longest time hes ever been away and also the furthest. I do hope hes having an amazing time though.Still chipping away at DH to sort out a fress savings account for the uni fund. They'll have started uni before this happens, the way its going!! Also trying to 'discuss' having a different system with the bank accounts so I can see the bills going in and out. Basically a joint account!! We do have 1 for the food money, but thats it.Anyway, slowly slowly catchy monkey!!Savings wise I shopped at Te$cos last night, I had been getting deliveries for 2 weekly shops and menu planning for those 2 weeks, but slackened off, so had to go out and get it. It confirmed that we defeiently spend more this way and that i need to go back to the 2 week plan.Managed about £20.00 on PA this week, but waiting for some of that to clearAims for today/ easter weekend:* are to finish decoarting the bathroom, I really want to move house next year, so I am going to try and get all the rooms in the house decluttered and ready, some of these will involve freshening up and others like our bedroom need a complete redecoration as its never been done and weve been here 7 years. (and its needed to be done since we moved in. Think 70s patterned carpet and threadbare in places!)* bur new towel and bath mat (dunelm have a 50% sale, so im hopeful for a bargain)*PA* get further with new website for business 2* set up etsy shop (business 3)

righto, been having a ponder and I think I will try and use this space to keep myself accountible for more than just the monetary savings! Grwoing veggies and fruits will also means savings too!!!!I have a large garden with our very own allotment area and I think after last years rubbish efforts that posting on here will make me more accountible and therefore more productive.I do really struggle with my energy levels and can be failrly limited with the amount I can do on some days, but this should not be an excuse to do naff all. Im always better when I have a list so thats going to be my way forward!!So in the green house I have already started off courgettes, toms (3 types) tarragon and sage. These were all from packets I already had, so hoping they germinate.I need to have a think about what i want to grow in the beds.Im not going to do spuds, but maybe carrots and maybe parsnips ~ ive never tried growing these, always been put off by people saying they are tricky!! Will defo do runner neans and french beans and maybe some peas, although they never get to the kitchen before we demolish them as we pick them!!!So im going to go the the seed box and see what else I have and got I need to buy...........♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Good morning, im currently at my mums, so not much is getting done!
Need to buy a few packets of seeds, hopefully today. Also managed to weed the strawberry bed and one other bed which will probably be for the beans. I think it will be runners and french beans.
But it's it time for Friday round up, I've spent a little time looking at all my accounts, not great this week, but only managed a few patients this week. Due to Easter.- The tax pot now has £454.01 left to pay of £2700. I might have to round up that penny, it's really annoying me!!
- EF £300 and £282.31
- Xmas 1p challenge, £260 / £667.00
- Health pot £40/£500
- Car Maint £30/£500
- Holiday pot £0/£1000
- Pension Pot £5 added
- Uni fund £0 STILL
- ISA £0 added
I need smaller bite size chunks!!
Ive starred my accounts too now that the year end had come and my earning are about 2000 less, so at least that means less tax!!
Once things here are more settled i can try to increase my work, but not just yet. With dd out of school is v tricky
Have a good day, try and stay dry, it's wet wet wet here!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

How about a small reg saver for uni savings, each year it matures it can fund the new one with a bigger contribution from you.
Parsnips have to be fresh seeds each year. Root veg is quite easy to grow, just needs stoneless soil to avoid them growing arms and legs as they're awkward to peel. Spuds can be grown in bags and tubs for ease of getting them back out.
Set small daily tasks to chip away at growing, slowly build up what you do or the time, but take breaks and don't push yourself.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
thank you for you kind post MovingForwards ~ Dh has opened a virgin acc and with it a saver acc, just he hasnt given me the details or sorted out a standing order to it!
He doesnt see the need for it and so is dragging his heels. Cant understand why as uni is going to cost us a fortune especially if they both do go in september.!
I will take a look for parsnips this weekend and i need to get carrot too. Wont bother this year with potatoes i dont think. Need to get my bean poles in though, another job for tomorrow!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

- Xmas 1p challenge, £275 / £667.00
- Health pot £40/£500
- Car Maint £30/£500
- Holiday pot £0/£1000

- ISA £50 added yey, had side side hustle pay, so its going into my isa
Been v busy this morning, had a mna come to quote for some doors to go on the pantry shelves in the kitchen, been waiting for over 3 years for DH to do it, so have decided to just get someone in. Plus they are going to quote for a small slim unit to fit in the corner, the unit we are using is an IKEA wire self unit but it get so dusty and was again only a temporary measure until we decorated the kitchen, which hasnt happened but im hoping it will soon. Then finished taking out a free in the back garden which we had started, now done, just the trunk to chain saw further down when i have some more energy! Then we had another man come round to take photoes of the cracks in a cople of walls which have developed over the last few months. Rather scary as it look like the extension which was put on way before we moved is subiding, just having everything crossed that its not tooooo bad!!Now ive just had lunch poached egg and fresh asparagus on toast, first bist of asparagus this year, always exciting when the first bits are ready xx :)give me a few weeks and ill be fed up with it!!! But I dont buy it as its so costly and know one else likes it, but we have about 10 crowns in the 5th year, so will have far, far more than I can eat!!Righto lovelies have a fab rest of the weekendFlowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

I use premier seeds direct, cheap and plentiful, with quite quick delivery.
Savings are looking good. Hopefully DH will pull his socks up and make a start on the uni fund.
Your home insurance will step up if there is a problem. Kitchen will be good and worth getting someone in.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
