how many pots is too many????

I once had 10 pots on the go :joy: Can't recall what they were all for but, bills, pet, clothes, EF, food, car, were all in there as well as Gawd knows what else lol. They were very handy all being separated though as I get confused when it's all lumped in together.

i dont think 10 is too many :D lol!! I actually dont know how many I have, I will count as I dont list everything on here, I suspect it might be around 10 !!!
My S account has 3; Pension (holding pot and then added monthly ish) health and pet
Main account seperate pot for DSs money, rent money from DS2 (holding for when he goes off to uni and then it will be fed back to him!) Tax pot, car pot, Pot for DDs lessons (although this isnt being added to currently)
Another account xmas saver challenge and 1p a day challenge
thats seems to be 8. Maybe I need a couple more then!! :D:D

Can never have enough pots and having one for pup makes a lot of sense. Great DH said about the code. Perhaps that's his forte, or could be developed by him.

Pots and challenges are looking good. Maybe use a cashback site for things like home and car insurance.

I forgot the kids ages and thought they were a bit older. Do you have the space in your garden to build a room to work from? Might be something to consider for the future.

Yes it was good about the code, usualy it me that thinks to check, but lately hes been on the ball with that. So thats great. I tried to do the T0pcashback thing got quite excited and tried it a couple of times but the cashback never came I think it because DH set up my laptop and put on adblockers and trackers, so i think it couldnt work. I should look at it again and see if we can change it.

We have a log cabin in the garden which is primarily for painting, but hasnt been used much over the last year. It wouldnt work as a foot space due to the access. The only space that would work would be the garage and DH is not keen as his motorbike is in there. plus we want to move once DD has finished college and also I have worked with feet ofr over 20 years and would like to do something different!!

  • Disabled when using the cashback sites and enable them after.

Career changes are good, when finding the right one, and it's timing it with DD's education is a great idea.

look like we could get some of the privet hedging through the cash back site, so need to get DH on board with that. HAve also decided to use lavender on another area where we have the box hedge but it doesnt need to be tall at all and I think the lavender will be very pretty and the bees will love it.

Was pretty achy today after 5+ hours in the garden yesterday but did dig up a snowdrop clump which was in the wrong place and divided it into 4 and replnated in a much better spot. However I do realise it was the wrong time to dig it up, so we will see if it will cope! and also raked over 2 smal areas of sticks, leaves, sawdust and ivy which completely filled 2 bags (my garden bins are full)
Drove DH to get some fish bits from the garden centre, none had any privet!

    gratefuls:
<3 A bright and sunny day, so lovely to get some washing on the line too
<3 Fresh water straight from thte tap, how lucky we are that we can just turn on the tap for a constant supply of water x
<3 Beautiful tulips, i treated myself to a bunch of purple tulips and they have opened up and cheered up my week !

Busy day, clinic was quiet which was just as well as had to drive DH to the eye hospital early dropped him off rushed back did my clinic came home had a cuppa and went back out to collect DH after having an unpleasant eye injection! SPent 30 minutes in the garden weeding the asparagus bed. I have decided I am going to do better with the garden this year!!
And now Im cooking a roast chicken dinner as DS1 and GF is coming back.
Little bonus today is that i charged a client £20 for not turning up for an appointment, should really have been full price, i dont mind if they ring at the last minute and let me know especially if they are ill. But it does get annoying when they forgot!
So this will be my envelope stuffing money this week :D

Tuesday, so busy again home visits followed by a trip to the dentist, my goodness thats a good way to declutter alot of money very fast. i need a filling and they had a cancellation tomorrow so going back to get it done. Also took DS2 and he needs two fillings and had to pay the first half now  eek!!! £300 odd paid. I had enough in my health pot for mine, but that is empty now! And DH is going to have to pay for DS2!!
Then I took DD to the shops to get a dress she had seen online but wanted to try it on she also picked up a book to help her studies (i hope it gets read its the aeneid by Virgil!)
This was followed by savoury pancakes ~ salami, cheese sauce and carrots and brocoli, delicious!

There not been much money saving today :/

    Gratefuls today <3
    Delicious pancakes!!
    Doggy snuggles
Finishing off a packet of revels :D

  • Hope DH is ok, sounds nasty.
Really is cheaper to have the teeth pulled as that's eye watering costs!
Good on you charging the FTA, it's standard practice in the beauty world.
The grateful list is heartwarming 😊

thanks MFs DH is booked for eye surgery and he is not a happy bunny!! He would however like to have his vision back, and be able to do stuff and drive etc, so will be brave and have it done!!

I hate charging, but have had to harden up to it when they just dont turn up! As i am sitting their twidling my thumbs when I could have booked in someone else or shifted the last one into their spot!
Occasionally I am just grateful to have a little extra time to have a coffee break!

Dont talk to me about dentists!! I was back this morning first thing to have my filling done and we disccussed 'another problem tooth' this one has an abcess deep down and its been there for a couple of years, has got a bit bigger and it needs sorting, but its under a crown, so a specailist job to do root filling through the crown (and hope the crown dosen't crack) ~ only £700 !!~ unless the crown cracks then its several 100s more to replace. Or I could have it out ~ much, much cheaper, but i am missing a few already so really want to hang on to the ones I have!!

    MSE news
Im a happy bunny I have landed a few nice PA studies a 3 parter worh £5.25 for a few minutes a day. A 60 minute one for £10.00 that took 35 mintues and paid up straight away and a £3.00 nice and easy. So I have just withdrawn it and popped another £30 MMOP. So Febrauary PA challenge is done with and extra £10 yippee. PLus we I also had £25 in cash from selling a few things a while back so gave the cah to DH and he popped it across to the MMOP. So this month we are doing well on these OPs

My CC has just arrived and I am going to activate it. I have decided I am going to try and use it for petrol. I usualy fill up the tank twice a month so about £100. But I often dont have the minimum £99 in my main account so cant use the pay pump which really annoys me. This way I can use the CC for pay at pump and then pay off at the end of the month. Thas the plan ~ will see how it goes

My ISA money finally ended up in the right place and I have also topped up a bit more so progress there. Now need to refill and add a shed more to the health pot to pay for the root filling I need!

    Gratefulls today:
My Bins have been empited ~ its small thing, but how annoying would it be if we all had to take our rubbish to the tip each time??
Being able to earn a few extra pennies to make mortage O/P ~ these make me ridicuosly happy!
My elevensies coffee and a biscuit x
