Is your leisure centre any cheaper if paid for a year in one go?

You've done so well with budgets since retiring and stress levels have reduced too.

Think a lot of us have vit deficiencies. I've taken multi vits since the 'scripts ran out, ensuring they have what I was prescribed.

    Savour the cuddles!
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Thanks MF ☺️

The annual membership for the leisure centre is £340.45. Membership can only be cancelled for medical incapacity, redundancy or relocation.

I have “no contract” monthly membership cost £32.50 (x 12 = £390) & price for life meaning it will never go up. If I was to take this out now it would be £36 a month. I will stick with this so I can easily cancel if necessary with 1 month notice. I don’t want to be tied into an annual contract.

I will pop out this morning for birthday cake for my friend as we are meeting up for a cuppa this afternoon. I am treating her to lunch out next week instead of a gift.

  • Feeling dreadful this morning. Have been snuffly & nose running yesterday. Chest aching today. I have cancelled aquafit. Just having a cuppa and some paracetamol. Have been awake on and off since 2am. Hopefully will get some more sleep.

I sent my meter readings in on the 31 Jan so just waiting for the bill to be produced.

  • Evening all. The back of my nose & throat are on fire and feeling shivery 🤒

My friend from down south just rang & I realised I have laryngitis as I can hardly speak or even murmur a conversation, so she just talked at me for 20 minutes 😆

Sorted 2 boxes today. One has my wedding album & cards. Couldn’t bring myself to chuck it out & enjoyed looking at photos of my family, many of whom are no longer with us. Anyway they are stored away now for DS eventually unless I decide to bin them in future. The other box had lots of duplicate blurry photos & negatives so I binned lots, including my 18 & 21 birthday cards, my wedding headdress (squashed & faded… a bit like my marriage lol 😂) I kept baby bits & pieces and baby cards / first birthday cards, almost 29 years old, which are now boxed & labelled for DS. Most of it sorted while laid on the bed / sofa. Only one box left to sort in my bedroom.

Had some pulled pork for tea from the freezer with veg & gravy which only needed warming in the microwave, so at least I have managed to eat something.

Just going to take some paras and off to bed. Hopefully will be able to get some sleep.
