Escape to the country & living off savings

Thanks MF. We no longer get physical deeds but I have an official copy of the register in my name from the solicitor
It says the boundaries of the adjoining property are shared and fences should be maintained and replaced at the joint expense of the owners. I don’t think adjoining properties have to be attached.Anyway the fence already exists which they had put up some years before I bought the house, with concrete “slot-in” posts. I offered to pay half for the repairs / replacement and they turned me down saying it’s their fence & they are happy to pay for any replacement panels. So I am not going to worry about it. If I ever feel the need I can go back to my solicitor.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

The wind has been howling round the house all night and lashing rain but it seems to have calmed down now.Had a lovely day out yesterday visiting with family. Lots of baby cuddles 🥰 After dropping niece and baby home around 5pm, DF decided he fancied a curry for tea, so he drove us nearer to home & we called at a local spoons pub for curry night. Curry, rice, garlic Nan, 2 popadoms & pint of soft drink x2 was under £20 & DF paid so my budget this month is still intact. I will pay for us both next time.Remaining in current account £15.01
Will get a hot roast chicken after aquafit & I have £1 in my cash pot on the asd@ app to use. Should have enough food & petrol to last until “payday”I am going to visit my friend this afternoon for a cuppa and chat0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

The wind was unexpected in my area and caught me by surprise howling at 4:00am!
Your day out yesterday sounds lovely - baby cuddles are always good - and I'm kind of envying your hot roast chicken as I look at my cheese sandwich 😶SAVER0 -

Thanks Arrietty & SQS
Turned out to be a sunny breezy day. Called at the chemist for my meds. Then on to aquafit. Pool was warm today so all good. ☺️Spent £11.17 in asd@ including potatoes, parsnips & carrots. I am going to cook a roast dinner on Sunday with the reduced belly pork currently in the freezer & will invite DF. Had some roast chicken on a sandwich for lunch using lower carb bread.Washing dried on the line this afternoon including aquafit towels. Went to my friends for cuppa and had a nice chat.Felt a bit sad to see the cottage of my friend who passed away now partly demolished and the paddocks all dug up. Haven’t seen any planning applications. It’s hard when you see part of your childhood/ youth disappearing. 😢0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Sorry it’s late - been visiting with family and they are night owls/party animals! - but had to post to say that no one can demolish or take away the memories of your friend in your heart. 💞 take care SYA xx

That would be heartbreaking. Have you checked the planning portal?
The official copy is the 'deed', they incorporate all the important bits. End of an era when the historic records get destroyed after they've gone electronic.
As always I'm green with your spoons curry, it's such good value.
Hope our winds are not heading your way as I think the UK has had enough this month.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thanks SQS, I hope you had a great time with family 😊
I have tried searching MF, but I cannot see anything on the planning portal. Just enough winds from your way to dry my washing thank you 😊
Had a “lazy” day yesterday. Late shower and hair wash. Washing hung out & dried on the line. Swept &
mopped downstairs floors and hoovered upstairs. Jacket potato with homemade chilli from the freezer for lunch. Walked down to my friend’s for a cuppa & cake 😋 Popped in to see DF on the way home and invited him round for Sunday lunch today. RTC belly pork defrosted. Will be roasting potatoes, parsnips, carrots & butternut squash plus cabbage and runner beans from freezer. Lazed around watching tv for the rest of the day ☺️

It was yum 😋 Just a few roast potatoes and parsnips left over which will be frozen.
RTC is reduced to clear = yellow stickered as almost on its use by date. The belly pork was 500g down from £3.49 to £2.23 bought a couple of weeks ago & frozen.
