I booked an engineer to come and he never turned up. I was paid compensation but never got round to booking again whilst I was working. I will probably get one here but am waiting for my first 12 months to see what my usage is. I’ve mostly been waiting to see what happens with g&e and whether to switch/ fix.DF has a smart meter and it stopped working when he switched supplier0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Ye my MiL had similar experience to your DF - but those old SMETS1 meters have been replaced with SMETS2 meters that are supposed to be transferable.
For me it’s been good having a smart metre just from the perspective of knowing costs in real time.

His is supposed to be a SMETS2. 🤨Have worked out my annual bills. I save £100 a month in this pot x 12 = £1200
car insurance £271.83
house insurance £168
breakdown cover £63.84
car tax £135
Dentist £25.80
clothes £100
Boiler service £100
haircuts £25 x 6 = £150
glasses £50 (bought cheap online last time) 🤓
total £1064.47
So annual bills savings will remain £100 a month
My car service, MOT, repairs, tyres come out of the car pot, currently £650 and will continue to save £50 a month. My tyres were advisories on my MOT so I will replace them next month.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Congrats on keeping those bills covered by your existing savings schedule. Are the savings pots interest bearing?Sorry to hear about DF’s faulty smart meter - hope his current supplier will be replacing it asapLancashire

Very grey day today but not as cold.I used up the other half of the mini pigs in blankets (rtc 28p) today for breakfast with egg & toast. 😋
My friend has invited me round for dinner tonight so that will save me cooking 😊
My savings and pots are spread across various accounts all interest bearing. Just my current account which doesn’t pay interest. I’m starting to look at savings accounts ready for my 1 year bond maturing in February.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Warmer today with sunny spells.Up early for boiler company visit due to noisy boiler. When I got my boiler I chose one with 10 year parts & labour guarantee. It seems to be sorted now & no cost. I just have to pay my gas fitter for the annual service next month.Decided to treat myself to kfc for lunch and popped into aldee on the way. I have some meals left in the freezer. 10 days left till “payday”. I bought a pork joint for pulled pork in my slow cooker and mince, tinned tomatoes & tinned beans for chilli, plus chickpeas and curry sauce, eggs & bread, cabbage & broccoli & garlic and herb chicken sausages. Total spend £22.01
Remaining in my current account £32.36. Should be £10 for petrol & £22.36 for milk next week & extra veg/fruit if needed up to 31st. January seems to have been a long month!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
