Lots to do. Try to pace yourself.  It's really ridiculous, the hoops we are expected  to jump through now to achieve the most basic of life tasks

Sorry you have had anxiety. It is such a horrible feeling. Sometimes 'doing' can help but make sure you get enough rest too.

Thanks Tresinia, dia and Doris ☺️

As predicted I didn’t get the gardening done 🙄 but I did get washing dried outside on Saturday, plus cleared dads garden/bbq and hoovered & wiped down the inside of my car. Then I rested. Beef stew in my slow cooker.

Sunday was very emotional 😢 I laid flowers and poppies for mum and dad and observed the 2 minute silence at the garden of remembrance. Spent time there just being, surrounded by the trees and birds.

Called into aldee on the way home total spend £14.80 and petrol in the car £10.  Remaining in my current account £161.20. Should be plenty for 2 weeks groceries £80, petrol £20 and entertainment £61.20.

Roasted the lamb with carrots, swede, parsnips & butternut squash and had some of dad’s green beans from the freezer. I will not buy meat from mr t again, even if it is half price. It was very fatty and had to be cooked twice as long but there was still a lot of gristly waste. Will stick with aldee in future.

Can’t sleep again this morning so I’ve made a start on my “to do” list. Email sent to dad’s mobile phone contract provider. Formal complaint now proceeding to deadlock and I will go to the alternative dispute regulator/ ombudsman to force a refund. !!!!!! what is wrong with them, it’s only £4 but it is owed to the deceased estate so as executor I have to proceed. They already emailed my dad after I told them he had passed and sent him a gift voucher with the heading “Great news *name* 😡😰 Told them I need a cheque for executor account (had to quote ofcom bereavement guidance) and still waiting…

Oh gosh SYA - can’t believe you are having to
involve ombudsman! What on earth is wrong with that phone company!

Be kind to yourself today - maybe a bit of self care doing an enjoyable activity - a walk perhaps if the weather is ok? Big hugs to you ❤️

Sya, as I said earlier,  life admin has become practically unmanageable due to these faceless  corporations.  They get away with too much as they rely on people giving up because most times it's just too much hassle for what its worth but but from time to time the rock meets the immovable object and I'm rooting for you!

    Thanks Suze and Tresinia 😊

Managed to get washing out in the sun yesterday morning for a couple of hours before the rain started. Finished drying in the kitchen with the dehumidifier on, it’s still too warm for heating. Rain continued all afternoon and it was very dark by 3pm so I shut my blinds and put the lights on!

Final clean up at Dads. Estate agent (EA) came back to redo one photo we weren’t happy with. Phoned insurance and they said it’s ok to give EA a key, so thankfully they will be doing all the viewings. Should be on the market today. Mixed feelings 🥲 My mum and dad owned the house for over 50 years.

Lots of sadmin sorted. Arranged for a replacement bronze plaque for the garden of remembrance to include dad and mum, £340 for 25 years. Lot of money but the grounds are immaculate so if it pays towards that I am not complaining. Should be able to claim this back from dad’s bank. Should also be able to get money back for probate £306. I will go and try tomorrow morning.

Changed my MOT & service day as I realised dad’s boiler service is being done the same morning. 🤯 My plumber popped in and measured up for my new radiator. He is planning to come week commencing mon 24. Hope it’s not turned too cold by then as the heating will have to be off 🥶 Worst case scenario I will shut myself in the living room with my duvet and the dehumidifier. It’s a bit noisy but at least it will warm the room.

Today I am planning on going to aquafit. Will have to shave my legs 🫣😂 Nothing else planned for the day, not sure if that is a good thing.

    Seeing my friend tomorrow afternoon.
