Omelette was lovely thanks Suze. I thought it was banned to offer new customers lower prices? Obv not.Good news on your insurance jwil. I have no change to my policy since last year so I’ve no idea why it has gone up so much. I will do some more quotes later.Dark and raining here this morning but noticeably warmer 🤗 15 degrees. Heating is not on yet but I will put it on in a few mins. Hopefully I won’t need it on as much today. I’m hoping we have a dry spell later so I can check my tyre pressure. I don’t think they sort that as part of the mot / service and I usually do them every couple of weeks…. Well DF does 😆0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Have not got any further with car insurance quotes. Did Go yesterday & compare meerkat today had no better quotes than yesterday. I am looking at going with a viva but their website is down for maintenance 🤨
I have to admit I have eaten half a net of dairy milk chocolate coins which I bought as a gift. I just cannot be trusted around chocolate 🤭0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hi sya, car insurance has gone up ridiculously, I don't know where it will end. And don't get me started on broadband providers who are robbing thieves imo. Each year they nearly double the price. Each year I check their prices for new customers and every year they magic up a much cheaper deal. If not always switch so you are a new customer. A nuisance but has to be done. Had a bit of drama this weekend with storm Bert. Our flat roof, replaced less than 3 years ago has been leaking once more. It's so depressing to see it running down the wall. We had no issues with the old roof which must have been 25+ years old but it was old and we were talked into having it replaced at quite some cost. Within 1 week it was leaking. They came and repaired it and it has lasted till now but it's leaking in a different place. I wish I'd never had it done. He's coming again to look at it tomorrow hopefully , the roof has a 20 year guarantee so I'm hoping it's not going to cost me anything2

Also, I never buy any chocolates or baileys before Christmas as, like you with the chocolate coins, they seem to call me each night till they have all gone and I have to buy them all over again 😁2

Chocolate and baileys have food group status in this household! 🤣
Flat roof situ sounds a mare Tresinia - hope they get u sorted.

Sorry to hear about your roof Tresinia hope it’s sorted quickly at no cost.I may eventually have to replace my kitchen extension flat roof. At the moment there are no leaks and DF treated it with a 10 year roof seal last year so hopefully it should be ok for a good while. 🤞
Not just me with the chocolate then Suze 😆 I will try not to buy any more until nearer the time. Baileys is yum but sets off my reflux 😬
I will be leaving shortly to drop my car off for its mot and service. Sunny bright morning here and 15.5 degrees so I might get some washing out later.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Dropped the car at the garage. Lovely fry up in spoons. DF’s turn to pay. 2 fry ups and 2 hot drinks each £10.09.Back home and washed one load and hung out. Spent a couple of hours reading. Checked car insurance policy comparing actual cover to current policy but not quite confident enough to buy yet. These things make me so anxious.Car passed it’s mot and now serviced for another year. Now that’s out of the way I will try to purchase car insurance before the end of the week. There is no rush but I will feel more settled once it’s done.Aquafit tomorrow then going to my friends house for cuppa & cake 😋0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It’s such a PITA insurance and the like. I’ve had a new health condition diagnosed and not looking forward to the conversation with existing travel insurance provider.
maybe ring them and ask straight up about any concerns you have? XxLancashire

Sorry to hear you have a new health condition Suze. Hope you are ok and it is all under control. TBH one thing that puts me off going abroad is sorting the insurance with pre existing conditions the insurance would probably cost more than the holiday!I don’t have specific concerns just wondering why it is so much cheaper than my renewal 😆 It’s just a case of checking the small print to compare excesses, fees, level of cover etc. No comprehensive policy seems the same. Looking at courtesy car, total loss, personal accident, NCD protection, motor legal protection, windscreen cover 🤯0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks sya and sqs re roof. Man has been round today and checked the actual roof and seals and said they look fine. He thinks a crack on the party wall which runs behind the seal line of the roof might have caused the leak, given the way the storm drove the winds and rain into the wall. He's sealed it and says to call him again if any problems and he is good for his guarantee which is a relief. Sya my advice is to 💯 wait until you have a problem before getting a roof replaced. I tried to anticipate problems in advance and look where it's got me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it as the old saying goes. Sorry you have new health condition sqs, insurers are always too quick to put prices up for every small thing imo. Glad car passed mot sya, I know what you mean about insurance, a bit like air line tickets, they advertise a headline price of a bargain sounding amount then charge extra for everything for you having the cheek to wanting to actually sit down while traveling or god forbid, taking a suitcase! By the time you add on these "extras" you need to save for another 3 months to afford it lol.
