UKPC - County Court Claim - Hearing

Citizen_K said:Thanks all. I got the claimants N180 from DCB Legal Ltd. I will file and ignore it.
I didn't receive my own one yet, is it usually emailed or posted?
These words might be useful...The CCBC sent you a letter, or will send you a letter, saying the Claimant has twenty eight days to consider your Defence.
What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant. It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.
Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a Directions Questionnaire as promptly as you might like.
And this recent thread indicates that longer delays are likely... CCBC are currently 26 days behind with DQs
Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back at the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course?4 -
Thanks again Keith. I will do as you have advised.0

Ok I am at the DQ N180 stage now. I have just been sent the form.
All ok and I have followed the newbies thread but:
-should i email this back to them? like i did for the defence document? on the letter there is an address to send it to though. (Northampton)
-for the copy to the claimant, I just email to them ? last time i emailed info@dcblegal.co.uk so do I send it there again?
-also I am unsure on the venue. the nearest is Stevenage Magistrates' Court but looking at the last couple of reviews is ominous!
I'd appreciate any advice and thanks again.

It won't be Mags court. It's your local County Court.
How to return the N180 is in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence sticky.
Let me also anticipate your next post and answer it with...
This thread - New Questions on the N180 Form - should help.

Ok so I will email the DQ to the CCBC.
For the copy to the claimant, its UKPC but they are using DCB Legal. So I will send it to: info@dcblegal.co.uk
In fact, I had an email from them with their copy so I could just respond to that?
Lastly, the venue I'm not sure. The closest I think I can find is Hertford County Court. Will that suffice?0 -
September 23 update, I have no had a 'Notice of Transfer of Proceedings' saying the claim has been transferred to the county court. I guess I wait at this point, though I'm unsure of what to expect next...0

Just follow what it says on the letter. That is all you need to do1
