MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
Just checking some facts and notice the Claim Form states £160 for the PCN(s) and damages and an interest rate of 8% per annum.
But the amount claimed is £220.
Anyone seen a breakdown of the charges to see how they get to £220 Amount claimed?
Daily rate of £0.02p That's 3000 days worth to get £60 But just over 4 years at the 8%?
Tried finding a post with the breakdown but couldn't find one.
See if my calculator needs new batteries... 1531 days since the parking event to the claim date. @8% that is approximately £63 so we are
close to the £60 but does that mean they started the interest from day one at £160 not the original PCN value?
I need to get a copy of all the tickets to see when they actually added the charges on, I just have a copy of one of the 4 sent on the same day.
Its one PCN/Charge just 4 identical copies for those that may not know already, not 4 separate tickets/charges.

Some of it will be the filing fee and hearing fee maybe.1

Court Fee: £35
Legal Rep: £50
Total £305
Would the filing/hearing fee be separate?

The filing fee is the court fee. Hearing fee is £27 (if it gets there and the claimant claims it, we see some losing cases where the hearing fee hasn't been added).forgotmyname said:Court Fee: £35

Thanks. But you do know that this is never going to get anywhere near a hearing! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Crossing my fingers but willing to go all the way if needs be.
Just curious how they got from £160 to £220. Are they charging interest on £160 from day one of the ticket?

No idea. You must be aware that this sector makes things up as they go along. I wouldn't tax your brain over it. Ask the judge to get them to dissect it if it gets to the point of you losing and getting costs awarded against you. Ask him/her to count the pigs flying overhead!forgotmyname said:Crossing my fingers but willing to go all the way if needs be.

AHAH...... You may have inadvertently found the answer. Is it the cost of the secret special food for the flying pigs?
Why did they bring this case so far before the 6 years was up? They could have sat on it longer and added even more
of that 8% interest. Although they could have brought the case in 2019 when interest rates were abysmal but that
would have been a poor business choice I guess?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If you copied Johny's defence as advised, you will see that his extra paragraphs already invite the court to look at the fact that not only are there no details of the alleged contractual breach but even the quantum claimed is not broken down.
So the defence already asks all these questions.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, I was just curious in case I missed a thread where someone got an answer as to how they work out
the figures or is it pot luck random number generator so they can possibly see which users are getting help.
If I posted that this PCN was £222.47 then they could possibly link it. Not an issue because nothing has been posted
that is untrue so they can spy away.
Just being nosey and noticed the person that signed the court claim previously worked for Arrow. A name I know well
from some credit card claim many years ago with fake postcards stating they tried to deliver a package and to
call to redeliver. Nice try but it had a name/address, stamp and postmarks.
