Free school meal transitional entitlement was recently extended to March 2025 too.

No. As advised on your other thread, it will remain the same.

(not one that's published anyway).DWP 'Touchbase' (not currently published, email subscription only) has the following on the further expansion of managed migration:"From April we will be expanding to Avon, Somerset and Gloucester. We will expand further in May, bringing onboard East London and Cheshire."

This doesn't give you what areas are next on the list, but for those interested it does show the breakdown of UC and legacy benefits for each area,.

"Managed migration of UC to roll out in Greater Manchester, East Yorkshire, and the Humber from June 2023."
"In addition, DWP confirms that it plans to roll migration out to every GB region by September 2023 and to every jobcentre by March 2024"

The Government changed it last year.ESA to UC migrationhttps://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/benefits-uprated-by-10-1-,-esa-to-uc-move-delayed,-more-cost-of-living-payments
The government is pushing back the forced migration of claimants from income-related employment and support allowance (ESA) to universal credit (UC) to 2028. It was due to be completed in 2024, with an impossible target of 2.5 million claimants being moved in that year.

TimeLord1 said:Hi Poppy, yes I've been reading the legislation paper that was released, there's also a section that states we remain committed to ESA contribution related clients so by the time it becomes lawful or points made unlawful a lot could change. Hopefully those who are worried can stop stressing for now.
Those claiming Contirbutions based/New style ESA will never be migrated to UC anyway. Only those claiming Income Related will eventually be migrated across.
