I assumed they hadn't followed it through for some reason.  Otherwise the tenants would be tenants no more (unless there is a problem with producing a valid S21).
  • We have issued Section 21, section 8 and bern granted Mandatory Procession in December

The way I read it they have been following it through... but maybe you are right and mandatory possession order was granted on S8.

  • Hi

    I feel for you OP

    Fingers crossed

    :)
  • Having read this I really feel for you OP - Law is not on the side of landlord as it seems and anyone new who is even thinking to commence letting houses/flats I am sure it will think twice having read troubles that you had encountered.
I wish you and your family best of luck in resolving this issue and getting your property back.
    Hopefully end is in sight

I feel for the OP and hope the tenants are out by 1105 today.

We have very good tenants, but due to the changes in legislation are going to sell up if they give notice.  If legislation changes any further to the landlord's  detriment, we will regrettably have to give them notice, just so that we can get our flat back.
What are you going to do with it?
Sell it.  I am just worried that in the not too distant future there will be legislation which means I won't be able to get it back under any grounds.

Normally I love see through this and ignore but I’m not in my right mind at the moment to be honest. The sense of entitlement is appalling. Sick of “the poor tenant and the greedy landlord”:mob. The landlord in this case is 93, with the mental age of a newborn baby. People ask if he knows me….I answer he doesn’t know I’m in the room.
Hope all sorts out for you soon on behalf of your dad.
you are right - the landlords have committed a lot without any guarantee that they can get back their investment even when they desperately need it. Will get to the point when there simply won't be any properties to rent unless the laws change.

She then stated house was filthy (4 years after moving in and dangerous. Her daughter health visitor had advised her to move out as dirty and unsafe (she is 21).
One small point. If daughter is 21, she is not a health visitor.

This is a postgraduate qualification, so she'd need a 3 year nursing degree, registration in the September and to apply for a training job which includes a PG course.

Might aspire to be one but,..... another example of the tenant "gilding the lily?"
