What sort of reference did you get from former landlord, please?? Did you get one from the landlord before that one??

Estate agent were told they had given up jobs to look after the sick daughter and had a guarantor. Apparently because former landlord was in litigation but hadn’t been to finally hearing the guarantor passed credit checks (used same guarantor). Estate agents went with credit check “as former landlords dont always respond and it was enough guarantor passed credit checks
!!!  Done any training/ reading / courses in how to be a landlord,
Is this helpful at this juncture?
Probably not at this stage, but the OP should sell up and stop being a landlord probably after this tenant is gone, I think that is what was meant?
It is hard to see what was meant. This particular poster is asking this question in every thread where tenants are giving a landlord hard time. Perhaps s/he is running an online training course and/or trying to sell a book on how to be a landlord.

Taking into account that the OP is trying to get vacant possession and to sell her Father's house to fund the Father's care, it is hard to interpret this in any other way.

If the answer is no or hardly any, then that exchange between OP & myself, with further advice, likely would be.  Not all of us are clever enough to always handle matters in one go..

    Best regards to all

I understand. I just think that at this late stage it may be taken more as a jab than a helpful comment. I think there are better ways of phrasing what you said, once things are at this stage.
  • I’ve heard from bailiffs this morning that the tenant has been granted breathing space until Mid April on mental health grounds. It will then be reviewed. I can’t believe this is happening. This nightmare seems to be unending

Oh seriously? I'm as much in favour of breathing space, used properly - as the next person, but this is an absolute abuse of the system, and just the sort of thing that means that those who legitimately need to use the facility get grief as a result! I'm so sorry you've hit yet another brick wall - it's just beyond unfair.
