Another weekend nearly gone, had a productive day yesterday and got most of my weekend chores ticked off before noon which felt good.

no spending so far and just cashed out £50 from Swagbucks, I’m happy with that but do miss how it used to be. I actually try not to leave much sitting in there nowadays as I really believe the uk side of it is going to disappear soon.
i’ve just checked TCB and I have £47 sitting in there also but have another £90 pending so debating on leaving it there until it’s all payable or cashing out what I can now.
Then finally I think I have my TSB switch money coming in this month also so I am very happy with extras earned this month and it will all be going into my deposit fund hopefully

working this evening so I just need to stay distracted for the morning and I should get another NSD under my belt

Currently surviving what can only be classed as a carnage week at work! But on the plus side it is flying by and once Monday comes round it should all quiet down again for a few days.

no major financial updates, I did cash out TCB and TSB paid my switch offer so both have been moved to savings 💪

I'm not really going to have anytime until next week to look at my spreadsheets but I know that when I do I am going to look into what else can be shuffled / changed (I’m starting to get that itchy feeling where I need to do something or change something as it’s all become a bit stagnant)

damn car is making weird noises again so really not sure if I can be faffed to get it seen too!

Dog decided he needed a wee at 4am bless him so we have been up and browsing the forum, I found another regular saver with a decent rate I could apply for so number 6 has just been opened. I won’t fund them all next month as that will be asking for trouble but will stick what I have in the highest and just wing it for a few months.

i used all my extra earnings to open this one so my survey money, bank switch payout etc. this means it hasn’t actually impacted my current account but don’t think I’ll be lucky enough to earn an extra £250 every month (would be nice!) to sustain it.

I’ve brought the cars MOT forward a few weeks early 1- because of this weird noise and 2- because I have a day out planned in 2 weeks that will involve a long motorway drive and I really want to make sure I can go with as little issues as possible.

Urgh road tax letter arrived yesterday, £395 gone just like that but it came out of my annual bill pot so at least I’m prepared which is a win. Annual pot is now back down to 0 but I only have house insurance left this year to pay. I think that renews next month so will have to check.

i have a new SIM card to move over too and will hopefully get that started today. Currently paying o2 £25 a month and this is £8 or £10 a month (can’t remember now) so will save a few quid there.

since starting this diary back up and writing everything down I have noticed that there hasn’t been one month when everything that comes out is expected, every single month there has been an unexpected bill or payment needed. It’s made me wonder if this has always been the way and I have just never noticed or I am just having a weird run of luck…

MOT today so this should be fun🤦‍♀️

That's a good saving on the monthly phone charge.

    Thanks Cara

it passed it’s MOT with 1 advisory which is what I am waiting on delivery for so I’m very happy with that, they’ve also agreed to take the car back in at the end of the week too look at the weird noise again.
I’m sure they think I am mad but I have offered to take them for a drive in it to prove I am not😂

I’ve been thinking about the unexpected bills etc that I was talking about and I think I’m going to note them all down and see at the end of the year if it is just weird luck or I have missed something on my tracking.

First weekend of the month where I have the full 2 days off work and it feels good 🥳 The car is back, not fixed yet but they think they know what it is and will order parts on Monday. Thankfully these parts are  generic so can be sourced from the UK.

The weather is looking like it’ll be more my sort of temperature this week so all in all things are looking good. No big spends had or planned so I am hoping for a very quiet week before pay day the week after next.

I will be so happy if I can get the dog out for his 3 walks a day again, we have been missing the midday walks due to the heat and we do like a routine.

@honeybee1234 hey, a mixture of things so a hotel room, some car work, vet bills etc which I know are all normal but never really took notice of them before so would like to see if it is actually normal for me and I just never recognised it or is it just a run of luck I am having.

I’ve just realised it’s bank holiday on Monday and I also have the week off 😱 where has the year gone?

It also means I get paid on Friday so will need to find some time to get my spreadsheets up to date and any excess money moved somewhere so it doesn’t get lost.
having a quick glance I’m a bit confused as i still have £450 in my current account which isn’t unexpected if i go by my monthly SOA but this month i have opened and funded 2 new RS so im not expecting to have that still sitting there, will need to double check everything has been paid.
I thought I was tracking my spending religiously but now I’m questioning what I’ve done/missed.
