Still waiting on car parts to arrive but in the meantime I’ve decided to move the allocated money into my easy access saver account. It seems silly just sitting in an account earning no interest why I wait. I didn’t do it originally because I didn’t want the extra faff of moving money around when the bill came in but considering how long it’s now taking I’ve changed my mind, plus it’s not going to be in and out in one day so will have plenty of time to transfer once it’s in their hands.
also decided to bulk buy my coffee pods this month, £50 but managed to get over 400 pods for that and free shipping. I have 2 pods a day so it will last a good few months now.

An expensive week so far unfortunately but was all needed and thanks to this diary and now allocating my money I have been able to reconcile the spends without any debt.
firstly I admit I purchased a tabletop dishwasher during prime sale, I have spent the last 15years washing up and hate hate hate doing it. So I am not sorry and very much looking forward to it 😀
secondly poor dog was very unwell last night so we had to pay a visit to the emergency vet, he seems better this morning after some medication and again I would pay anything to make sure he isn’t in any pain/discomfort.. I do have insurance so will looking into that at the weekend so see what I can get back.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

I am loving the sound of these tabletop dishwashers (never heard of them before last night) I've just bought a robot hoover in the sale, as I hate hoovering.
Wishing your dog a speedy recovery 🙃1 -

I paid a visit to the mechanics yesterday, as I haven’t heard a single thing from them since the last call 2 weeks ago. It’s been getting to me so decided I would pop by on my way to work and have a chat with them.
End result is the car is going in on Thursday to fix the bits they have the parts for and I will deal with the remaining work after. The lack of communication from them has been what is really grinding on me, I totally understand the parts not being available because I’ve called everyone and even the main dealers have said the same but I booked this work to be done at the beginning of June and here we are 2 months later.
my coffee order arrived yesterday…whoops that really was quite an order😂 I have had to store boxes all over the house but hey they will get used and I def won’t need to buy any more for the foreseeable lolSave £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

That's frustrating about the lack of communication from the garage. I hope the other parts for your car can be obtained soon.Enjoy your coffee1

1st day off in what feels like forever and the weekend prior to payday so I have spent my morning tidying up my spreadsheets and preparing for next months budget.
Last month my outgoings wasn’t great what with the car, emergency vet and the dishwasher purchase but thanks to 1- this diary and 2- my budgeting it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
The car funds I’ve had put away since the beginning of June so that’s a ✔️ The vet bill has been approved by his insurance so although I’ve had to put it all on credit card, hopefully they should send me all but the £100 excess next week ✔️
The dishwasher…well I absolutely do not regret and will pay for from my savings ✔️
I also opened a new Regular saver so saved more this month than last 👍 I will have to see how it goes with the regular savers because it does mean I now have 5 to fund every month but I’m confident I should be ok.
I've moved my broadband from virgin to sky which will save me approx £40 a month.
I’m hoping for a nice stable month next month with no big Amazon orders 😬Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

Pet insurance paid out and so credit card is back to 0 on it. I was actually surprised at how much it bothered me having a balance on it that I couldn’t pay on statement day, it wasn’t that long ago that I would think nothing of being at the top end of my limit and just paying the minimum.
I do however still appreciate the fact that I can have a credit card as the last 4-5 years without one was not easy as it felt like there was no safety net if I ever needed. Yes I do have savings but it’s all locked away in multiple different places and all my details are on my iPad rather than my phone so isn’t at my finger tips if I’m out and about.
All my pots have been reset for the month and I am happy to report I was in budget for all with the exception of the Amazon pot. Again that was down to dishwasher so if I had not purchased that I would have been £2 over.
just checked my calender and I have nothing big due this month and only 1 birthday so looks promising.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

I don’t know what going on with my body clock but this is the 4th day in a row I have woken at 4:21am exactly, once I’m awake I can’t just stay in bed so have to get up.
on the plus side it means one load of washing is already finishing and dishwasher has been on and done.
No spends this weekend, did visit parents yesterday for a birthday BBQ which was nice.
Going to take the dog out and then think I am going to try and get my head around my pension. No matter how many times I look at it my brain just can’t unravel it and work out where I am or what I need to be doing. There is a document online somewhere that work send to us to help with understanding it all but I don’t think I’ve ever really looked at it as it’s always been during work hours and I get distracted so will try to hunt it down.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

Still waking up at 4:21 lol, it’s very random but I’m actually starting to enjoy it. I seem to get so much more done at the minute.
i took a look at my pension and still not totally convinced I understand it fully but decided to bite the bullet and raise my AVC a bit more. Will see what the impact feels like next payday as I also need to remember I now have 5 regular savers to fund.
I have a tendency to go from one extreme to the other to need to make sure I’m not leaving myself in a pickle by trying to save for too much.
haven’t spent much at all the past few days although the 2 things I have had to get wasn’t small. The dogs flea and worm treatment came in at £92 🫣 (that is 4 months of flea stuff) and then I bought a pole and arms for my monitors on my desk.
will see if I can fit this at the weekend but should give me some space back.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28
