Very frustrating day, I’ve booked the week off so car could fixed and took it to garage this morning only to find that the parts are still not there. Now expected 27th, nightmare!

booked a week of work for this 😣

  • I know it is annoying but plan what you are going to do this week positively. Use the time to get ahead, plus some fun things too. I am not sure why the car repair requires a week off week unless I am missing something.

    Hey,

I can’t get to work without my car and knew it was going to take a few days to do the repairs so took a week off in case it over ran

Afraid not as I’ve been off since Monday now, it was originally scheduled to go in Monday but the parts hadn’t arrived so rescheduled to Wednesday and they forgot to call to tell me the parts still wasn’t in.

it’s my fault as when I bought the car I was told parts were hard to come by, just didn’t realise it would be this much ball ache

    Hello payday!
funny how the last couple of days wait seems to have dragged, all for a 10 minute fix of reconciling my spreadsheets. However it is here, I have done it and it’s been interesting and quite fun to play about with it all.
so I have overspent on dog pot (-£6.98), Annual pot (-£418.75) and car pot (-£1.85) none of which I am too worried about as it’s my first month and the point of these pots are to build funds for the exact things I know are coming out, unfortunately some of these things came out on month one rather than after 3-4 months. It should in theory balance itself out over the year.

lessons learnt from month one - I need a buffer in my Monzo current acct so when I do need to pay from one of the pots I’m not standing at the till transferring money around before being able to pay. £50 now allocated to Monzo Current
I need an emergency pot - I moved my left over funds to a spare chase acct £180 for this
Amazon pot needed so I can break down what I spend in there - Amazon pot created and £100 allocated
change presents pot amount as after analysing it looks like I will be a little short some months - presents pots now £60 per month
i have a RS maturing this month so need to look at what I want to do with the monthly payment going forward and also the matured money/interest….
i’m sure I will go back to it all over the weekend and spot some other things!
Transferring your money from the Monzo pots gave me a chuckle as this was me the other day with a big queue behind me 🥴

It’s def a lesson learnt lol, the same with the jam doughnut app I make sure now I am well away from the queue before I get my voucher and take a screen shot of the barcode because I’ve been caught a few times by the ‘prove you are human’ select all the buses etc test!

so no plans to do anything this weekend, both myself and dog do not do well with the heat/humidity so will be hopefully binge watching some tv and just pottering. I really hope it isn’t going to be as sticky as last Saturday, the breeze yesterday was lovely.

How nice to wake up to a cool breeze and some light rain! I know the majority love the sun so I try not to dampen it for them out loud but the last few days have really done a number on me…. I struggle to eat when it’s that muggy, just constantly feel sick so haven’t eaten much and I really can’t afford to not eat.

the dog looks a lot more energetic this morning too which cheers me up no end.

on the plus side I have spent nothing the last few days, I have however been debating on upgrading my air con unit to a bigger one that will cool the whole floor rather than just my bedroom. I will wait for prime day to come around and see what deals are on then but if not I will set a reminder to buy it at the end of the year like I did with my current one as the prices are so much better when it’s cold out and no one else is looking.

off to walk the dog now and I think we will both be skipping down the road 😃

  • Feeling sick can also be the result of dehydration and not eating.
