Middle of the month and still chugging along. No big unexpected bills to surprise me yet so that’s good. I worked last weekend and will be working this weekend so may be able to add a couple of NSD’s to my list.
starting to browse for Xmas presents as I’d like to get ahead of that but nothing is jumping out at me right now.
I’m going to try and bleed my radiators this weekend and as I’ve never done it before I’m slightly nervous so please all keep your fingers crossed for me 😂Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

I managed to bleed my radiators and I was shocked at how easy a job that was! At least now I know it will be a routine yearly task.
worked all weekend but unfortunately that didn’t mean no spend days this time, I bought my nephew a new laptop as his current one is end of life. I also got a couple of new light up collars for the pup, his old ones don’t hold the charge as well as they used to and seemed to have dimmed over time. Considering they are less than £10 each I do think they are worth it for our morning walks.

I now have 2 weeks off work🥳 I work a lot of weekends in this new job and unlike my old job where I always took the OT, this one only allows you TOIL. I wasn’t too keen on that at first as obviously my life is about money now but as time has gone on I’ve gotten used to it and actually quite like it. I just have to remember it’s use it or lose it so here I am having random weeks off just because..
I’ve decided to be as productive with it as I can be so have booked the dr’s/dentist appointments and I’m going to find another garage to try and see if they can fix my car, I am not going back to my previous place. 3 times it’s been booked in for the same noise and 3 times it’s come back with parts replaced but noise still there.
I’ve managed to get around £50 so far in surveys/extra money earned this month so will try and double that whilst I have the time.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28

Today I’m am going to do a fresh SOA and then compare to the ones I posted in April/May. I think seeing the difference in what has changed will be a good motivator and allow me to see how much work I have done since (or not)

That was a faff trying to get the formatting right... not sure if i will do that again lol
It was a good exercise though and the reason i wanted to keep it here is so i can look back at it. I have found over the last couple of months i kept going back to my April/May SOA to see what else i could change etc.
I've also copied to a spreadsheet and will now keep on my laptop as it will be easier just to save to excel and check back there going forward.
I've made some good strides and that's made me feel a bit more positive so was a worthwhile exercise!
Thanks @vampirotoothus! I've got to pick up a prescription tomorrow that should help

You've done well to get down some bills - water, mobile and cable TV. Nothing for car, insurances and clothes? Have you put It somewhere else? I'd be tempted to put something in there especially for the car that would be a big expense come service/ MOT time otherwise.
I need to redo my soa I think...and it's interesting to see both of yours side by side. I might see if I can do the same.Emergency Fund- £697.770 -
I know it doesn’t look like most SOA’s and has a fair amount of 0’s there but this is what is working for me.
Petrol and car maintenance is covered by the car pot
Road tax, car parking, car insurance and contents insurance etc is covered by the annual bill pot
Dog walker, food, treats toys and vet treatment (flea and worm etc) is covered by dog pot
I don’t pay into an emergency fund currently, I’ve been focused on Regular savers and any money I have left over each month now gets distributed into those but because it all depends on how much I have remaining I haven’t wrote those down - it’s totalled up under cash assets.
So that should hopefully explain some the gaps.Save £12k in 2025 #32Make £2025 in 2025 #28
